After a less than impressive experience at two dealerships who seemed to not have a clue what they were doing with the Supra, or at least gave the impression of being disinterested in dealing with it, particularly on the electronics front, I'm wondering where people have had good experiences?

I just collected mine on Saturday so far too soon to help. Trying to get a test drive and negotiating buying was pretty bad in my part of the UK (Essex) . I actually bought one from Farmer & Carlisle in Leicester who were good to deal with. Their workshop looked pretty clean and tidy too.

Not going to lie i'm not looking forward to it if it comes to it. Luckily my local dealership seems really good, Always have a couple of Supras in the showroom and lots of GR Yaris too. Although could be a different story when it comes to servicing/issues.

If your locals are not willing to sort issues then write into Toyota Head office to make a complaint or try and take it further with the garages. if you have any more near try them but you shouldn't have to travel further than them just to get it sorted.

Worth noting if you plan on keeping the car long its worth getting services done at Toyota to get the extended 10 year warranty.

Have dealt with the wing mirror issue on the Supra (twice now). Gotta say the UK dealers are fairly clueless when it comes to the car and the customer service leaves much to be desired. Going in for the recall and wing mirror issue tomorrow so hoping it'll be a better experience.

Bumping this thread.

Anyone got a recommendation anywhere in the UK for a Toyota dealer that actually knows what they are doing with the car, or frankly cares?

Myers & Bowman in Cumbria know what they're doing with it. I've had mine serviced, the recall done, and the battery re-coded to the car with no issues at all.

@Phil3 and @edz_supra also bought from them too so could share their experience.

Does anyone have any recommendations for dealers in the south east?

I can recommend Steven Eagell in Letchworth - they spent a good while trying out every possible parts change that Toyota Technical directed them to do trying to resolve my speaker hiss issue (they couldn't in the end, and Toyota head office/technical dept gave up and claimed it as normal, but that's besides the point about the dealer). Unfortunately I've moved away from that area now and am trying to figure out where to take the car in or around London for a shorter drive

What about the midlands area - about to buy one myself and wondering where I should/could take it? Otherwise I'm ringing around I think!

I did have a quick chat with Guildford Toyota about servicing and they at least demonstrated a ‘basic’ knowledge by mentioning that the main pain in the butt with service is getting the latest software updates from BMW as they take up to 24hrs to get back to them. I also asked how many they service and was quite amazed when they said “maybe 2 per year“!!

Anyone out there one of the 2 people? 😁

Anyone used Toyota Coventry for servicing - my 2019 14k on clock is looming in April and I like the 10 year warranty thing but personally would rather take it to a specialist who knows the cars (Whifbitz etc). The dilemma.

I took my car into Horsham Toyota for my wing mirror issue but sods law, it started working a couple of days before i had ti booked in!

Did you find out what the problem was?

My issue is the left wing mirror stops folding and working, which seems to coincide with heavy rain.

Once I've even had the drivers mirror and both windows stop working too.
