your list is all over the place..no way on the Z, perhaps the next gen, but the current one is closer to a pony car & 86 competitor but in reality it currently doesn't have any direct competition at $29 K but I also doubt the next gen would be priced higher than their Q60S..What do you guys think the competition will be? I think they will be going after the Nissan Z, Cayman, F-Type, and maybe base C7.
the main competitor in my eyes was always and should be the vette..
..quite possibly the case considering that this 911 has been the only car we've seen driven by an asian..i guess everyone was expecting a 911 fighter from this article. but in reality they were probably just testing it for the LC.
but at the same time it wouldn't have been farfetched to think the 911 was part of the supra development, they benchmarked the cayman's handling when they developed the 86 twins.
..though it does worry me that the m2 would even be touched as a benchmark..sure, it is the most dynamic BMW currently for sale by virtue of merely being the "lightest" of the M cars but you would think there are better cars out there for them to test. I hope this doesn't turn into the BMW politics limiting performance which I still fear will affect the development..
