I can’t believe people actually finance car mods😭
Most people probably do in one way or another, a credit card isn't any different than financing 🤷🏿‍♂️

Sponsored big name drivers/cars are just financing their projects through their sponsors in exchange for work

I usually finance or throw them on the credit card. Sure I could drop $3000 all at once. I would much rather keep that extra $3000 in my bank for an emergency and just make payments though. If it's 0% APR that is.

Borrowing money for free is not a bad idea, as long as you're able to pay it off before the term ends. Now doing it and paying interest, yeah, don't lol

I got my ECU unlocked and MHD license with Affirm -$2300. It was super easy. 32 month payment plan @ $200/mth. $200 a month is easy to come up with. Waaaay better than trying save up 2300!

Debt is a powerful tool if you know how to use it properly. The problem is most people don't. That leads everyone to think that debt is evil and shouldn't be touched with a stick. I know people who believe using their debit card for everything is the way.

0% interest is free money. I financed ~$8k in mods on a 24 month plan with no fees or interest. That will be completely paid off in a few months. I could have waited 2 years to buy those mods; except it would have cost me even more because of how much prices have risen over the last couple years.

You paid $6,400 for a $2,300 dollar purchase? Is there a typo in there or is that seriously what happened?

I see you don't know me yet, @dzeleski. I was just trolling. I did not use Affirm for any of my mods.

I’m not thread crapping here… i get it if some ppl prefer to leverage debt, i do it in certain situations, but for luxury items like car modifications i think it’s financially foolish. Luxury items that are excessive should be bought in cash no problem or not purchased at all IMO that’s just how i was raised and view it. I’m not anti debt but I’m anti excessive debt you shouldn’t have a loan for a built performance/show car unless it’s sponsored or part of a business. I rlly had no clue before this ppl financed their modifications… the more ya know IG
