How do you guys manage to get around these California highways, driveways, streets? I'm lowered and already scrape the rubber part of the bottom front bumper (wind guard) on the concrete. I can only imagine with a front lip on it even a subtle one. Reason why I'm bringing this up is a Maxton v2 front lip seems something I'd be wanting to get however not sure now if I'll be too low. I don't know of other lips that wouldn't take the car too low but just lowering the car makes the Supra low and scrape once in a while. Surprisingly the Supra looks good in it's stock form.

Any add-on lip I feel like it will scrape. I live in SoCal and I’ve gone through two lips Maxton v1 and v2. Maybe a lip like the Seibon might be a little better since that’s a replacement to the OEM black plastic one and just sits a bit lower than OEM.

non DD but lowered with a front lip. I plan my routes carefully lol. ill gladly go out of my way to take a freeway that isnt under construction or in desperate need of one. before arriving somewhere I'll already have an idea of parking and which driveways to use. I use the same 3-4 gas stations.

this is like my 6Th lowered car, I've learned my lessons on more disposable cars. this is however my first lowered car with horrible blind spots. pulling out of a steep driveway and i cant see shit on my right.. i just pray and send it lol

angles and very slow speed.
you will scrape...it is inevitable. 😂

SLIPLO might help protect your lip some.

It's a commitment as others have said. Have to plan routes, take alternate entrances, etc. I'd take mine off but it looks too good lol

lmao! no joke on these cars lowered and inevitably scraping. hate those driveways where the street lowers (for the gutter) then the driveway starts it's incline. At this point, YES, ANGLES are key. But knowing how low the car gets even at an angle, a front lip i know won't clear it and would scrape if not bend. Definitely not willing to go through all that. *sigh*:confused1:

I think you can easily run the Maxton lip if you're careful. I can't imagine driving anywhere in SoCal with a more aggressive lip though. I've only run high front splitters and I've already come extremely close to bumping them on the ground. More power to those that do though! They look great on this car.

Here's a video of my old setup. Lowered on HKS HAS (1" front, .8" rear) with R44 Performance's high front splitter. Since then, I've switched to Adro's lip and raised the car by .3" all around. Honestly got tired of stressing about ground clearance.

Great video showing how low it is driving towards that dip at NO angle. At least for you, you can adjust the spring height. Btw, I hate those townhomes with the gutter dips that fall off so abruptly when you back out or drive towards it. It's a lot deeper than it looks.

Like everyone else said angles. This car has had 3 lips so far, 2 Fly1Motorsports and now the Seibon. If this goes ill most likely get something like the A91 Carbon knock off that's not as low. if you look I have about 2.5-3 inches and that's it. bottom of the lip is the same height as the bottom lip of the wheel. It doesn't scrap too bad as I'm used to it and angling everywhere but there are some places I just don't go since I'm not sure if it'll cost me another lip or not. some of the casino parking garages it will scrape but I do have the pads under it, so it helps.

I am lucky enough that my neighbor is as cool as he is because he stopped parking in between our houses on the street as i have to cut at an angle that if a car is there I can't get out. he hardly does any more unless they are having a get together there, but his father-in-law retired and seems to have moved in and they have been parking his GF? car there. I work from home so barely pull the car out anyway, but if she starts staying over more often ill either have to come up with some ramps or buy bags. Can't tell someone they can use the spot on a public road.

Yea, this garage forces me to maintain a decent height haha. I could get ramps installed but I'm honestly happy with this. It's also a decent indicator of whether I'll comfortably make it over speed bumps. I definitely wasn't prior to raising the car. My side skirts would lightly scrape over some of the higher bumps. If you're able to come out of your garage/driveway at an angle, I think you'll have next to no issues.

I've seen lots of these things trashed on nice cars, and I've damaged front bumpers myself. That's why I don't plan on adding one to my new Supra. Spoiler, diffuser, side skirts, yes, but no front lip.
