My dad said that he read on Facebook that in Japan, Toyota is giving Supra owners free upgrades apparently?

Does anyone know what he might be talking about? He said that they would give the car more power and stuff like that but I don't really see why Toyota would just give something like that away.

Edit: he said can't find the post. Sorry if I got anybody's hopes up or anything.

I recall making a comment a month or so ago regarding an ECU flash from Toyota to give us more power while retaining the factory warranty. It wasn't official, just wishful thinking. If this is true then I'll be one happy camper. Ford does the same thing for their performance vehicles, it isn't free but I'd still jump at the chance for more power.

If this is true, that would be awesome, I would totally pay like 1k for a factory warrantied tune that would bring this car to around 400, or like an extra 80 hp over stock, cause these basically make almost 400 stock. I think it could be done, because stage 1 on these cars give about 60-80 horsepower. Granted I get it would be fairly conservative so I bet it wouldn't be that powerful. But this isn't that land of make believe so I can stop dreaming lmao, doubt it'll ever happen.

Could be an important preemption to the 400Z release.

An ECU performance flash would be so easy for Toyota to distribute. And the downpipe is so easy to improve, yet Toyota left it just as it came from the Werke. If those were offered as GR/TRD factory bits, I'd be happy to have and pay for them. I just don't see them doing this as a free offer.

I can install a "Stage 1 Ford Performance Package" on my 2015 Mustang GT that is a warranty covered tune and intake (GT350 Intake) that bumps the power by around 30-35.

I really wish Toyota would do something like this. I would gladly pay a bit more for a warranty covered tune.
