Nope, IMO 7000 would be the bare minimum to consider an engine high revving. But he might actually mean that at high RPMs relative to the engine he's talking about. :dunno:

So it's a ZF8 after all? I'm pretty sure the 1st-gen Audi A6/A7 used that. So this should be good.
Are you sure you mean "nearly as fast as a run-of-the-mill DCT"? That would mean it's *comparatively* slow.
But then, Toyota Toyota, Supra ethos, so...

I'm being careful because the truly fast DCTs are still superior, but that's a good point nonetheless. It is indeed faster than many other DCTs, hence BMW among others replacing theirs with the ZF.
