Curious to know the 2 cars people had prior to getting their Supras to see what kinds of trends can be found.

I'm guessing my journey to the Supra will be a bit of an anomaly but I'm not sure. I traded an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio for my Supra 3.0. Prior to that I had an F82 M4.

What about you?

I had a 2001 Nissan Sentra, then in parallel with that I got a 2005 WRX STi, then I traded in the Sentra for a 2012 WRX, then last year I traded in the STi for the Supra. So I guess you could say the last 2 cars before the Supra were a 2012 WRX and 2005 STi, but I still have the WRX.

I keep my cars for 10-15 years each, always have 2 cars at a time, and "leap frog" them every 6-7 years. In the next 2-4 years I'll probably swap the WRX for another AWD turbo hatch, the GR Corolla looks like a good choice right now.

I had a 2018 Honda Civic Type R prior to getting the Supra. It was a phenomenal car, however, once I laid eyes on a wide bodied Supra, I knew I would eventually get one. Sold the R to get a house mid 2020 and by the end of the year I was in a Supra.

I'll do the last 3 because I don't remember the order I sold them in.

2017 VW GTI SE
2015 Subaru STI
2010 Mazda RX-8 R3

Next car I'm adding to the Supra just to be thorough is a GR Corolla.

Ordered a 2005 Scion tC in September of 2004 and took delivery of it in December of that year. Had it for nearly 10 years until August of 2014 when I got a 2014 FIAT 500 Abarth. Got lucky to find what I wanted in another state since I didnā€™t want a 2015. Sold that in February of 2021 and waited patiently to find my Supra, again, in another state.

I had a 2010 Miata that I absolutely loved while in college. Then at my first job post grad I was doing a lot of traveling around the state so I went with a 2018 Audi A4, and now that I changed jobs and work from home with no kids, traded the Audi for my Supra.

As easy as this question should be to answer, for me its not haha. I got my Supra primarily as my track car so I will list my 2 last track cars. The last one was an 06 Evo. Nothing to crazy. 425whp with all the suspension bolts ons possible. Sold it about a month ago. Track car before that was a 70 Bug. Full tube frame, 425hp Chevy Ecotec, mid engine, all a-arm suspension, blah blah blah.... Just sold it on Monday after having it for nearly 10 years.

2019 Tesla model 3 sr+ (first brand new car put 46k miles on it) it was fun and super reliable but I couldn't connect with the car felt like something was missing so I got a ...

2017 Tesla model X 100D (mostly for the cool doors I thought the cool factor would help with forming a bond with it) it too was fun and reliable as well but not that fun to drive. Overall Tesla's are pretty good from my experience. But they feel soulless to me unless your launching it from 0-60mph
And by forming a bond I mean that I would never look back at them when I locked them and walked away and think "wow my car looks sexy AF" that's the feeling I had with my 2008 cayman before the Tesla's and now with my Supra :)
