Test drove a C6 Z06

I looked at a C6 Z06 and a C7 Grand Sport when I was in the market for a Supra. When I was sitting in the C7 it started to rain, and I was filled with this inexplicable phobia. Not sure what that was all about.

I had a 2017 Z06 A8 with the Z07 package and loved that thing. It got totaled and that’s why i moved to the Supra to try something different but i know within the next year I'm gonna go back to the C7 Z06 but i want a manual gearbox this time.
IMO the C7 Z06 is a better car than the Supra for a weekend or track car. For daily street driving I’d much prefer the Supra. The vette is a factory race car and the Supra is a sports car so that makes sense. Two different things

Don't regrate it at all The Z06 has 7000 miles on the clock but the Problem with low milage Corvettes have problems from sitting Stock wheels cracking ,tire cost ceramic brake replacement
if damaged while changing tires Love the new Supra got extended warranty from Toyota

I know what you mean. I had a 2001 C5 Z51 for 13 years since new and got tired of spending money on it. I sold it with 52,000 on it. The passenger window motor was getting louder and the AC motor was starting to whine. This is partially why I am not getting a C8.
The Supra certainly is smaller than your Corvette. That's one of the things I like about my MX5 and hopefully, a new Supra.

I drive the Supra with confidence Knowing in its stock form this car is tight .
Plenty fast real fun to drive Looks at some of the videos on Utube This shifts like butter
sticks to the road.

Boy that's the truth
When I bought it thought I did good Tires not much wear I started driving it a lot to get miles on it
Things like lights on dash for emissions ,Than clutch sag ,worrying about rims cracking and if you hit ceramic brake rotor and chip it while removing tire 3,000 dollars I could see problems down the road Bottom line problems if they sit

When I decided I wanted a 2 seater sports car I considered another Corvette. Last one I had was a C5 ZO6 that I bought new and had for 15 years. I wanted a MT so that ruled out a C8. I went with the Supra and never looked back. I see Corvettes on the road every day. Never see another Supra.

Yea same here Ilike having a special car they everyone does not have .Plenty of good things with this Supra don't miss the Z06 and many problems that come with that package

I almost traded in my Supra like 4 times on a few C6 Z06's and ZR1's.

Reason: I like V8's.

The Supra sounds like any other BMW, and TBH, EVERY exhaust on the market for this car makes it sound the damn same LOL.

Hell, even single turbo'd they all sound the same.

After driving the supra which I am still getting used to it
The 2017 Z06 will Make you respect the speed The rear end is unpredictable and believe me you are in a league of a professional driver one misshape on the driver and you know it ,
Still the supra has the more controlled where as the Corvette was engineered to go all out Balls to wall ,
The Supra on other hand so far for me is Spanky shit fast but more designed to stick hard to fast and controlled moves where as the corvette makes you feel scared to push to upper limits,
Keep in Mine I am new to the Supra still learning This compact package is the newest of Technology and is way ahead of the C7 The lane change option The Rader to stop you from hitting other vehicle's
The main Thing the Supra Makes you to push it harder always asking the driver for more while protecting and the assurance and confidence while the Corvette Z dares to push it harder
Ilike this Smaller rocket The Supra Manual plenty fast and fun can compete on track and Anyware
on street

The C7Z manuals are ~3470 - 3520 depending on package, Supra is ~3400.
