Are you going to buy the 4 cylinder version?

I just saw that the specs of 4 cylinders are strangely specs of the current BMW.
20i engine for the 184Ch, 30i for the 252ch, 40i for the 335Ch.
I think that this information is correct indeed the values given by BR perf are below what has been leaked the supplier of gearbox.
But why reveal both engines used by Toyota's engines are identical.
So Toyota only has to present the most powerful engine to the supplier which covers the downsized version.

Yeah, I'm almost 100% certain that BR-Performance (or almost any other tuning house) doesn't have any official numbers on what horsepower the motors in the Supras will make. More than likely the number will be different from their BMW counterparts because Toyota will have them tuned to their own specs.

None of the tuning houses have cars or specsheets yet.

Demo cars will likely be sent out early next year according to my friend.

If you have ecu data. You can have the values.

They don’t have the ecu data from Toyota though.
But then it does draw a question to why they have the data and have all this information unless they just ripped it from a B48 engine already from a different BMW and pre-emptively threw that out.

If anything, they shouldn't have data unless it's concrete and have the car in person.

Exactly right, it's just generic info from existing platforms.

If he proposes the stage1 it is because they have succeeded in having the data. Anyway personally the difference between bmw and toyota does not change much things 5hp max ^^
More if it is the same engine stage 1 will be perfectly identical between the two versions.

No more manual in the 3 series. Now even BMW, the last bastion of the manual trans in the US, is officially auto only. Miata will be the last car in the US with a manual, fighting to the very end.
Aww well I mean they might not offer it on the normal series, but I can see them still offering it in the M cars.

330i/330d and any 3 series higher will have an auto. So I assume that includes the M

We'll seeeeee :dunno:
you don't even like BMW Manual transmissions anyways! aren't you part of the problem GUFF. Jking. Although I tend to agree with you that their manual aren't that good :/

https://www.caranddriver.com/news/bmw-m-committed-to-manual-transmissionsfor-now

"The boss of BMW’s M division, for instance, has confirmed that manual transmissions will survive into the next generation of the company’s products, although they will eventually be killed off by the move to higher-level autonomy."

hasn't even been a month since they've declared this....so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt.
