I've never heard of this. And I don't think most people are paying attention to this detail when they determine if they like a set of wheels. I've also seen many many 3 and 5 spoke wheels that I very much dislike. Plus many wheels have too many to even count or notice a difference for +/-1...
The wife and I put these on this morning. Measured with the tires they are 6 pounds lighter per corner. It looks much better imo. With the summer rubber on and recent Stage 2 upgrades it's ready for her to take to the road course.
"You probably won't get a ton of extra power off 91"
Stage 1 is still a huge jump over stock regardless of fuel used - especially in the mid-range. This is BM3 Stage 1 OTS 91 octane. Also, stock spark plugs are good.
I posted something similar to this last year about getting 500whp on 91 octane with a small hybrid. Everyone just talked shit and said I need to read up more about how to make power and/or just use ethanol.
Anyway, that's when I thought I didn't have access to any Ethanol. But just because...
You definitely went overboard if that's the power level you want and don't want to upset the transmission. All you need is a pure800 and a custom tune on E to get 575-600whp.
I changed my mind because new information came up. I found a source for ethanol from a local shop so I'm just doing stage 2 flex with BM3. I just installed the AA DP last weekend.
I also just sold a 700whp mustang so it made more sense to not go past stage 2
Interesting. It seems to related to power and weight of the vehicle but then the B58 Z4 has the same axles as the B48 Z4, 3 and 4-series. Do all automatic Supra's have the same axles regardless of engine? If they using BMW parts it would seem the answer is yes.
So the 340i and 440i's quite...
Welcome King Razorlab.
I have to disagree that the driver is the biggest variable. It is certainly one of the variables but I don't think it's a very significant variable.
Reason 1: This is a mechanical failure. 100% caused by force and stress. You can put any driver in the vehicle and...
It also doesn't mean it's not safe....
This also doesn't compare at all to modified engine power. We are talking about axles here. And if everybody always listened to post #4 - who thinks there is absolutely zero possibility of successfully running the car without breaking the axles - then...
Not sure. But I think it's one of those things that becomes overblown because people hear the horror stories. People said this stuff in the mustang forum and I ran my 700whp car at the drag strip a bunch of times with no issue. My wife even botched a burn out in the water box and then at the...
I searched for a while and couldn't find a definitive answer. I know people have broken axles while stock and definitely on stage 2 - but has anyone had an issue with 2nd gear launches at the drag strip with stage 2? Looking at the gear ratios I would imagine it's quite a bit safer vs 1st gear...
They are garbage. They harden up and make traction on the street very difficult when it's just slightly cold out. They should only be used if you always do a burnout before any launches or pulls and even then they may not last as long as others. If you want to save money on DR's, it's Nitto...
Website still says $1800 for the B58. It's only 2k for the S58.
But I thought they stopped offering this because they weren't making money and it wasn't worth it?
Also, I had to communicate with BM3 again because the kit wasn't working once I got my replacement hose. After a bunch of responses from those idiots I found the problem. The board had bent pins that were contacting which made it unable to read the signal for ethanol percentage. This is how it...
I didn't damage anything while installing it. If you knew how it installs...it just clicks onto the connection point...
Whatever you or your mechanic says about it "working" or "noticing anything weird" does not matter. You sold me a defective part, that's all that matters.
The fittings from...
