We'll probably need the new update from Toyota to fix the issue completely, but at least having TC off seems to reduce the chances of happening. Too bad it's not a complete workaround ?
Based on my experience, the problem usually happens within the first 5-10 minutes of driving and usually from a stop. If you know you need to cross into a busy intersection right away, no harm in turning TC off and then turn it back on after you merge into traffic.
One thing I've noticed is the problem usually happens within the first 5 minutes of driving the car and often it is when pulling out of a parking spot or from a stop. Might be worth driving with TC off for a few minutes after starting the car to see if the problem still happens...
I have noticed this too when I turn TC off the pedal response seems to be a lot faster and without any sense of power getting cut off. I guess it's the job of TC to make sure I don't do something stupid, but maybe it's being too cautious and causing throttle delay once in a while. Hard to prove...
What makes this issue a little nerve-wracking is when you're trying to make a left turn from a complete stop and you thought you had enough of a gap between traffic turns out to be barely enough when your car decides to cross at a Yugo's pace for a couple seconds ?
I believe the cause of the throttle hesitation could be related to the traction control. I've been driving my car a lot lately dropping off and picking up my son from school and the weather is around low to mid single digit celsius (about 39F) in Vancouver these days. The car is still on PSS...
I've had my 22 for almost 2 months now and I've experienced some kind of hesitation in the throttle usually once each time I've driven the car. It usually happens from a stop and when I push down on the throttle in a slow, steady motion. The car wouldn't move much so I would keep pressing down...
I have my Nitro Yellow wrapped entirely in Xpel Stealth at Vancouver ClearBra. I think overall they did a good job although this was my first time getting a car wrapped. There were a couple air or water bubbles under the wrap that wouldn't go away so I had to bring my car back to get them...
I think our cars were on the same shipment that arrived in BC last month. There was a 2022 in Black that I saw pop up on Regency Toyota's inventory and then the White one that you bought from Open Road Peace Arch. Haven't seen any other 2022s listed in BC yet so I'm guessing the rest of the...
I placed a deposit around August 6th and the dealer informed me the car had arrived on September 20th. The timeline that I was given back in August was roughly the same as what you have been told. Honestly, it seems like none of the dealers have any idea on when they will get the car at this...
First time posting here, I just picked up my 2022 Supra 3.0 in Nitro Yellow this week from a dealer in Vancouver. It has been an interesting process to say the least and I definitely would have done things differently if I were to do it again. My impression is that most Toyota dealerships have...
