Made reservations at Longo Toyota of Prosper and Family Toyota of Arlington in January for a blue or red manual Supra. Never got the allocations. Went to Pat Lobb of McKinney last week and test drove a 45th manual and walked out with a reservation for a blue manual Supra next week. Apparently it...
Interest rates are at 22 year highs. Jobless claims have been starting to slowly creep up and the unemployment rate finally hit 4% since early covid. There aren’t a lot of people throwing caution to the wind with these payments right now which means less buyers.
Wanted to see if anyone else has noticed dealer discounts on new GR Supra allocations.
As previously discussed on this forum, Hawai’i dealers are definitively having trouble moving their Supras and $1,500 to $5,000 discounts are common. If the process to buy and ship from HI wasn’t so...
...pay before confirming availability. When I mentioned none, they simply said they have none available, and didn't take my info for future allocations.
Out of area options I considered were Cumberland Toyota in Tennessee. No stock, but they were taking orders at MSRP with a 1k deposit towards...
Agreed, and that's how I felt and why I was attempting to put a deposit down a year in advance. The local dealer here actually owns multiple dealers in the region that sell Supras so they should have access to more. They don't sell all that quickly in his market either, they had a manual black...
seems like you are in the US, the market is very different from the Canadian market.
Canada receives a lot less allocations, barely a handful of dealers have allocations that are not already spoken for and usually they are for generic colors (white, black).
My advice to you, if you want a specific color, put deposits down at multiple dealers. The dealers receive 1 or 2 allocations of Supra per year and they don't chose the color, Toyota sends them whatever they want.
I've been waiting waiting for a MT Supra in a Montreal dealership for 2 years now...
Just do it yourself. Here’s a couple:

I paid $1k to ship...
I thought I read in another thread they couldn't ship allocations from Hawaii? I sent them an email anyways to confirm. I feel like if they were able to ship tons of people would be buying up those MSRP cars fast, but there's like 30 in their inventory right now lol.
edit: its like 4 comments...
Omg I’ve never seen so many GR Supra allocations to one dealership. Makes no sense at all. Twenty-nine (29) active 2024 GR Supra allocations to Servco Toyota in Honolulu alone.
Bro, fuck those dealer add ons. Buy one from Servco Toyota in Hawaii for $5k discount and have it shipped to CA...
...just a wait list that matches my preference to what Toyota decides to allocate to that dealership. Sometimes the dealership gets some allocations, other times they don't get any for quite a while, it's random.
I was very fortunate to be able to find an MT in a local dealership's inventory...
...system is just plain frustrating. I chose the wrong dealer and I'm paying for it. I naively thought that a major dealership would get more allocations, but that's not the case, they just have a longer waiting list, still gets like 2 Supra a year...
At least they could get me an early GR...
For sure, eventually it would also need to include engine option, interior color, trim spec, etc. There is alot of data to go through. Would be cool to get something at least haha. There is just nothing out there really
...weren't VIN specific and stuck on at port. Some number plates were just generic 1/xxx. Some of the US special colors were regularly available colors in Canada, but we also got special editions allocations to further confuse things.
This database if any is going to have so many sub categories.
I believe there are a little under 1,000 Supras here in Australia as of 2024. I see one every now and then and while they're not everywhere, they're certainly not super rare either.
I've only ever seen two Zs in the wild (and one at a dealer). From what I understand, Nissan is actually worse...
...data in Australia about the Z, but it also looks like only a 100-200 Supras are sold per year in Australia. All I see is an article saying the all 100 Nismo allocations sold out in an hour in Australia. If it’s listed at the same price as a base 3.0 Supra, then I could see the value in the Nismo.
...diehard Z fan who’s ok with retiring the 3rd pedal.
Premium 3.0 are now closer to 61$k for 2024 with the tech package and a few port options that usually are thrown on to the regional allocations. Typically I’m seeing 62$k minimum for premium 3.0 msrp before BS dealer add-ons and markup...
I've had ample seat time in a 718 GT4. The Cayman is a tremendous platform.
GLWS and I would have definitely traded wheels lol
Edit: How are you getting a new GTS? I thought the order books were filled and all allocations have been filled too...
