I admit that this is louder than I expected, but smartphone cameras have a way of wildly distorting the apparent volume.
What would help is a video in the engine bay. Get the phone close to the grey plastic cover on the side of the throttlebody. Then try to point the phone down lower underneath...
My guess… you are now 1.5L overfilled hence why the sensor reading did not change. You also need an oilpump (unrelated to overfilling).
I would drain the oil and measure what comes out, then go from there.
Edit: make sure you’re pulling the correct sensor value; there are apparently multiple...
...-Idle oil pressure is like 39-42 psi. 2k RPM it was around 55-60psi(just brought up RPM on idle). Not sure if this is a sign of the oilpump failure or if the pressure is higher due to running a thicker oil and if MHD has any changes on their oil pressure tables.

The supplier. There's alot more conscientiousness within the ranks at Dorch generally speaking, and instead of simply buying a product and rushing it to market with the "if big company make product, product good" approach, they take part in the design and do extensive testing themselves...
I've had cam walk issues on and off, but almost always in 5th as well. The last revision that bumped up my oil pressure even more seemed to have fixed it.

Except of course the more times the dealer works on the car the more likelihood of them messing something up. Isn't there any BMW SB or Tech notice to support the high OP and inability to read qty is a failed oilpump
I had the EXACT same issues as you. High oil pressure code & unable to measure the oil level means the oilpump is failing as others have said.
That being said, I got my oilpump changed and replaced. No more high oil pressure, BUT the smoke on stop lights exactly like yours still occurs. I...
thats BS lol. They can easily test the oil level sensor. If no issue oilpump. They're just throwing parts at it. Lucky its covered at least so no complaint there. Let them give you free parts lol
Yeah they said oilpump would be covered but before they jump straight to oilpump they need the do the smaller stuff first (oil change and oil level sensor) to rule them out. Advisor said he will call my extended warranty shortly to see if level sensor is covered.
I checked each one on those links. They all take me to the same thread. Do you have more examples to get to my goal of "about 500-600 whp on stock trans and 93 pump gas. What would I need to reach my power goal? Im looking at Pure turbos and would like recommendations. " That thread is shit as...
...minutes before the transmission will lose pressure and go back into Park. There’s more details on how all this works via Google.
Whether or not it’s a good idea to crank the engine at all with a bad oilpump is another question, but diagnostic/PAD mode will not work for the reason outlined...
...found it’s extremely hard to find someone that is willing to work an MK5. The first mechanic I found that was willing to work on it said the oilpump was bad and needed to be replaced. I had the notorious plastic oilpump that breaks and doesn’t read correctly. So yes he was correct, and I...
Guys, my oilpump gave up, and the mec told to me, not to start my car, but how the f#ck am i supposed to, put in into neutral. so i can tow it... i saw some videos and read some threads, i swear i tested anything i could but it wont change - could be xhp be blocking it? got the stage 3 tune on...
UPDATE: Old oilpump has been taken out. Supra build date was 7/20. Picture attached under.
Was replaced with the new part number for the oilpump. I ordered an updated BMW Z4 oilpump since it was like almost $1000 cheaper.
I can now measure my oil to the max and it no longer stops at 18%...
