Both apps are android or IOS. Bimmercode is windows as well. I would use a tablet if you don't want to use it on the phone. If you're looking to track sensor data, you want bimmerlink. I threw in the bimmercode link just incase you were looking to code functions into the idrive or BDC.
No sales tax in Oregon, right? So $55K is basically the sale price? I just paid $56K + $500 dealer doc fee + sales tax for a 24 3.0 premium auto with driver assist package. $55K for a 3.0 base sounds like a lot.
...with all these assists out of the gate. The cable-throttled, horrible-shifter, mind-of-its own-steering, analog-everything, too-noisy-for-phone-calls, WWII-suspensioned shitbox...IS PERFECT to learn on. Sure, they'll have newer stuff afterwards, but initially, something you actually DRIVE...
Great, glad you got it working. Mine said unlock needed as well but it flashed just fine. If you didn't have the recall done and don't have full screen carplay you could probably flash it just fine. If you do have full screen carplay, then yea, you need an unlocker.
Is this even still a problem? There was an update like a month ago that should have fixed this. I had my phone on the wireless charger for a 10hr trip last week lmao.
dont know about magsafe. I just throw phone in like that.
I have standard size Iphone 12 Pro.
The only thing that sucks about this cubby, is that weird ridge that makes phone sit out of place.
I'm hoping to take measurements at some point (busy with full time job/masters program/daughter...
I used OEM wheel bolts for an entire season of tracking, 21 track days. Zero issues.
You can use the Bootmod3 app to datalog everything, you do not need a BM3 license. Not sure if you will be able to run both that and Dragy at the same time on the phone though.
I try to aim for once a month.
Thanks! Definitely had a few code brown moments but we survived haha.
Good to know. What part of the kit did you need to replace and how many sessions did yours last until you needed replacements?
For me, there was 2 problems. One was that my phone kept moving on and off the charging point, which has messed up the battery life on my phone. The other was that it since it was such a slow charge, my phone would overheat and then not charge at all. That's why I just bought a suction cup mount...

...about this issue. Tried deleting the car from the app and re-adding it back, still the same issue. Also tried deleting the app, restarting the phone, then download it again, no help at all.
Curious if anyone has delt with this before? If not, I'll see if calling the support mentioned here...
got an iphone on its first release. have had about 8 generations. pixel and windows phone somewhere in there. i like how customizable androids are, but when it comes to a phone i'd rather braindead simplicity, which iOS offers
Thought I might as well update this thread for those who want to try this method of mounting their phone and displaying some further information while driving.
Here is a closer picture of the phone as it is mounted. The far right side of the screen is blocked by the shifter but there is still...
