Interesting. I have a Pixel 7 Pro with a Google branded case, and there's an aftermarket rubber mat in my tray.. even with all that, the wireless charging still works, albeit, very slowly.
I have same issue ... usually what I find out is if you unlock your phone ( phone screen is on) it seems to connect almost every time so my solution is as soon I start vehicle I unlock my phone
...her work. Apologized to a guy sitting outside for the loud noise that was about to take place. Fired her up and another passerby whips out his phone to get a video. My daughter called me while we both were leaving to say the guy kept saying holy shit over and over, lol.

This is what I ended up doing
Picked up a fuse tap and what's in the photo from amazon.
Had an old iPhone that was collecting dust and decided to give it a new lease on life.
Activated a new line with my carrier specifically for the iPhone in the car.

Adjusted how? I usually do all this on my phone, while at work, so it's hard for me to go back and compare multiple pages and times. If you let me know what they changes are, I can make them. I believe I fixed all the names.

...heritage tail lights!
Love the look!
Install was VERY easy after the bumper was off and all the interior trim panels in the trunk behind the seats removed. True plug-n-play, no error codes!
Sorry for the late afternoon rushed "potato" cell phone pics.
Huge thank you to @stormgreysupra
I registered mine a while ago (maybe a year) when this first appeared on the forums. I have seen no appreciable difference in cellular performance. My phone gets warm but does not "brick" or thermally shut down.
I've been looking for a way to disable it as well. While it does technically work and charge my iPhone, it makes the phone get insanely hot, and the rate of charge doesn't quite keep up with the rate of battery drain from Wireless Carplay.
So rather than damage my phones battery, I'd rather...
