I ended up using the aluminum PPE pan which hangs even lower and does require the permanent removal of the covering undercladding. I wanted the extra 1.5 qts of fluid it holds, the extendo fins, and the NPT port so I could run a temp probe. No issues on my end.
Most definitely, the extra capacity alone plus increased air flow will certainly help. My issue is that I'm def not a race engineer, so I can't say what effect altering/removing that panel may have. My fear is that the Gazoo engineers looked at it and said "Np, we can counter this with our...
Thanks man, this is helpful. Its actually deeper than the PPE pan! If you don't mind, would love to see some pics if you decide to do a cutout to accommodate the pan.
I ended up just measuring it while it was on the car to estimate rough fit. I took a pic.
Now, thats from the joint between the pan and the trans to the attachment rail for the undercladding. I measured the PPE pan at 3 inches in depth. So it'll hang a little over 1/2 inch below the...
This has definitely piqued my interest, as I am in the process of building a SCCA T2 car out of the Supra. I purchased the PPE Aluminum Pan (I also wanted the NPT port for a temp sensor for my AIM MxM), and when I started to evaluate the fit, I realized that it would hang down a good 1.5-2.5...
I did not, but things have been on hold for a bit since I moved across country. Will get back on this soon. I did confirm that the AIM MxM cannot take two data streams at once, unfortunately.
Thats odd, my stock hose bolt head fit flush with the caliper in the rears. My car is a 22 maybe they changed something? I do like the added clearance the extendo bolt allows, makes it WAY easier to get a wrench in there.
Check my pic, thats def not the same end as soon in your photo. I imagine...
Hey did you ever install these? I am in the process of installing now and had a question on the rears. Fronts went on just fine no sweat, but have a look at my rear install and comparison of the rear lines.
Does your install look similar? I noticed that the caliper end is much longer on the...
Bought a set of these for my track Supra, front and rear. Quick review:
Execution: Poor
Quality: Ok
Execution:
-Templates needed to cut out holes in hook covers were missing. No problem, you might say, go and get them from the site. Well, they're not there lol. I managed by watching a video...
Nice looking cage!
Is this a SCCA compliant cage? Wondering about the front lower bar crossbeam. Seems like it would need to go behind the centerstack somehow. I don't see that in your photos, did you have it done? If so, you mind grabbing a couple pics?
UPDATE!
Ok, if you remove the console piece that contains the wireless charger/USB/12v, there is tunnel access to the rear where you can feed your wires. Worked great after some finagling to get it through. I removed the wireless charger and drilled a hole where the charger used to be.
Its...
Hey guys, just got my Supra last week and its awesome! I'm going to be gradually transitioning it to a dedicated race car, which will require data collection. My data logger and display of choice is the AIM MXm. See below for how to connect to the ECU/CAN bus.
Above you can see the Fuse tap...
Hey if you don't mind throwing me your honest opinion, I'd like your take on the 21+ Supra as a SCCA T2 track car. I've been racing SCCA for a few years now in T1-LP and am in the market and on the fence between the M2C and the Supra. I see a couple threads here on heat soak, limp mode, and even...
