ah, so i paid for the physical key too, but still i paid about 600 for the fob... oh well, i've learned my lesson.
I hadn't considered the local locksmith angle... i was too busy planning to post a 10k bounty on cloning keys...
No, that's the thing, the keys have to be mated to the VIN from the factory, so your keys off the old totaled supra only start that old & totaled supra... sucks...
@garudathree is it true you got a new key for 300? if so i'd love to hear how you did that.
$$Texas... $833.. yowzers... although once you start feeling like you simply cannot get another key for any price, 833 sounds reasonable....
i'm not happy about this... the whole "the keys can only be made by the manufacturer, and you can't buy a used one" is some serious anti-consumer...
JUST got a new key after 6 months... I had to go through numerous parts departments before I finally found someone that would order one. One local dealer told me they had to replace the BDC even though I still have a key (5 grand)... and wouldn't list or work with me... the other local dealer...
You need the OBD2 adapter to use bimmercode (50 buck android app), not AAIDrive app.
The OBDLink CX works perfectly fine for the supra/biimmercode, and is half the price...

I bought Sharock's A91 (He was awesome). The shifter is GREAT (although I've never felt the stock, so what do I know?). If anyone is in Albuquerque and wants to try it, please feel free to DM me.
Now if only we could decrease the rev-hang in this car. It feels more pronounced than other...
Non thrilling conclusion, Service Dept recommendation,
BLUF: dealer says it was sloppy oil change.
The dealer (LHM in Albuquerque) experience was a pretty good. I called and said "I want to make sure I bring it in when your supra tech is available" and she said "Oh, of course.." so I...
Guys, don't be like me.
Everything went so smoothly, I thought "I don't know why people were so worried."
And then after putting everything back together, the passenger mirror doesn't adjust.
Sad panda. Turns out I did exactly what ArmenLS1 did, thanks @ArmenLS1 for posting his mirror...
Lol, good idea. I don't know why i had this "preserve the evidence" mentality.
although I *think* i can't see the rear timing chain tensioner without putting it on jackstands...
Ah, i fixed the post, it wasn't a BMW tech at a BMW dealer, but rather the independent mechanic lots of porsche/beamer people use in my town.
*Edit*: added some clarification
I agree about the possible 'spilled some drops" by the filler, (although the tech said, if it wasn't under warranty...
I recently purchased a 2023 MT, and took it in to a mechanic for it's first oil change under my watch. (EDIT: not a fulltime BMW tech, Independent European mechanic)... Sorry for the misleading phrasing.
They said " Oil is leaking out of the oil filler cap. Possible that the crankcase pressure...
Thanks, those looks great. for $134 it's hard to argue with these others I was eyeing..

Any chance you find find their store on Ebay? i tried searching every combination of things.. it's...
I had one of those today too! glad it was patchable!
I also did the ZL1 rock guards today but that doesn't deserve it's own post :) I painted the included hardware black with the paint that came with my weight machine.. ZL1 could have included better hardware, for sure.
I've decided CF mirror caps would tie the car together, I've got a CUL, with EOS deck lid spoiler, and the matte black stock mirror caps looks really out of place. Currently it looks like the 1 Fast Supra option is best?
What is the best non $700+ option?
+ EOS sells some "stick over" CF caps...
I am happy to report the Supra rips and the manual is great :)
I did get to learn how to drive this specific manual in downtown LA traffic, so that was exciting.
