IDK, my old WRX had a turbo swap and the stock clutch lasted until I got rid of it (around 80k). Both of my 1.8Ts had tune + downpipe one lasted until I got rid of it (90k) and the other made it to 120k, but limped that last year or so. My Mustang had light mods, but did a lot of test and tune...
Thanks @exe36m3 . I'll try extracting a bit of oil if the light comes back.
One thing I did notice is a bunch of schmoo under the filler cap, so I cleaned it off along with the mating surface on the engine. Then we cleared the code. But I haven't had a chance to drive it again.
Yep. I took it off again and checked that it was seated correctly.
I also went out with a rag and checked around the filter housing for leaks, and I didn't see/feel anything.
I just changed my oil and I'm getting a CEL related to crankcase ventilation. I did a search for those terms and didn't see anything.
Any ideas what this could be? I don't see any leaks, and I followed the procedure from a Vince Christmastree video. I used the recommended 0w20 oil, I changed...
The person making this comment probably assumed that it was common knowledge that portable trickle chargers exist and can be had on amazon for like $90.
But since that's not common knowledge: most portable jump packs have a trickle charge option. They work incredibly well and will probably...
Yuck. The LC is too big and too floppy as it is, and the engine is has now isn't doesn't even get it up to $50k sports car standards, much less $100k. The LC is an objectively terrible sports car. People are just so enamored with its looks to notice.
"but it's a GT car" = making excuses...
It does understeer, but you have to be going so fucking fast to make it happen (or it has to be damp out). It's genuinely not a concern on the street for me. I'll regularly rocket around twisty roads pulling 0.9+gs without losing traction. And I'm still on the stock, relatively crappy...
Interesting. How does this work? I assumed one could poll PT-CAN for actual delivered torque and the display merely calculated HP from that data. But if you can fake out the display, that can't be how it works.
As an aside, I saw on your YT videos that your HP goes to 600 under WOT, is that...
At the track, I usually rev to 3500 and side-step the clutch. This is good for a 1.7x 60 ft on factory tires. On the street, side-stepping at 2500 works pretty well. I've out-launched automatic AWD cars with more HP on the street.
For all the hate the CDV gets, it does make launching the...
Other companies have done this before. Ford in particular has offered tunes for several of their turbo cars which add more power and maintain the warranty. (I believe the FoRS tune was from Mountune - so not even an in-house tune).
So it's something that absolutely can be done. But I doubt...
These are going for well over $100k. There's two cheap ones I found online for under $120k (probably in an accident). But for the most part, $130k + tax is the entry fee for a '22 GT4. The 4.0 GTS is a little cheaper though $95-115k.
Are we actually getting a final edition in the USA? Toyota's website doesn't have it listed as a trim level.
I just assumed this meant they were going to keep selling the Supra here for another model year and 2027 would be our "final edition" year.
