I noticed a noise similar to what you are describing on a recent trip in the mountains, but haven't had a chance to get the car on the lift and check it out. I noticed it mostly when turning left, but pretty sure it did it both ways. I heard it in the car, but was surprised how much came through...
Can you elaborate? I can't remember if that's an OEM function or if this would be bimmercode or the taillight controller.
I really love the smoked ones, but I can't get past the white circles inside when they are off. But maybe I'm confusing some of these pics with the straight up clear ones.

While not trying to discredit that experience. Properly bled quickjacks should raise and lower at the same rate. Also, before lowering, you must raise the jack and manually lift each locking bar (R and L) and they can't re-lock unless you go back up. Very much like an extension...
