  1. Sport mode or not??

I only turn it off while driving to the track. They're all over 200 miles away.
  2. Dang near killed myself!

Go to some autocrosses and practice getting the car sideways with all the nannies off where the only things you can hit are a few cones. It's easy to get a Supra sideways, and so much fun.
  3. RE-71RS vs Cup2 Connect

I'm using RE-71RSs on my Supra (and my Boxster), you should get at least 3 track days out of them. I ran mine for 2 track days and 6 autocrosses and they haven't heat cycled out yet. They don't seem to fade much during hot afternoon sessions in the desert but YMMV. They're also fine on the...
  4. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Adding one from AX, you can get air there too. Don't have any good track ones yet.
  5. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

I can tell you the path I took and maybe give you a couple pointers. First off, learn to drive the car you have. This is important because you won't know what you need to do until you understand how the car handles. That takes seat time. If you're just starting and have never driven on a...
  6. California Roll-Call

San Diego here. Here is a photo from a CVR event earlier this month. If any SD drivers want to get together for a twisty run or track day, let me know The BMW club and PCA are starting autocrosses again if anyone is interested in that.
  7. How often do you see other MKVs in the wild?

I live in San Diego, maybe one or two a month at the most. There's usually one or two at SCCA autocrosses in Lake Hellsinore though. The dealer I bought it from said they only got two a year.
  8. Custom Marque Badges

Does anyone know where I can get customized replacement Toyota marque badges (front and rear)? The last time I tracked my Supra, my friend called it a Batmobile when he saw it, so I want to go with it. A Batman marque badge would be a perfect subtle mod to the car. My friend called A Batmobile...
  9. SPL rear traction arms

I got the SPL full kit for my Supra, great stuff, especially if you want to track the car. Well worth the investment IMO, the stock suspension and factory tires won't last a day if you're pushing the car.
  10. What did you do to your Supra today?

I parked that sucker. Yesterday I tracked it at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, what an awesome track beast. The first time I tracked it there with stock suspension and factory tires, the tires chunked after 3 sessions and I had to go home early. I got SPL everything for it (the whole kit), had my...
  11. Every New Supra comes with One Year NASA Membership

Just got back from my first HPDE event with NASA at Buttonwillow in my 2022 Supra. The car is freaking amazing! Since it was the first time I tracked the car, I left the traction control on, but it seemed to get in the way. Every time I wanted to get the car to rotate, there was power drop and...
  12. Every New Supra comes with One Year NASA Membership

Same here. They send the packet about 3 weeks after you buy the car. It comes with a card that has the discount code you need when you check out for your free track day and membership. I signed up for a day in April at Buttonwillow.
  13. Every New Supra comes with One Year NASA Membership

Just got a new 2022 GR Supra 3.0, what a beast! The dealer had no clue about the the complimentary NASA membership and track day. To be fair, they only got 2 of them this year. Autocrossing it is pretty much a no brainer, but... Tracking it is an entirely different matter. I have a million...
