Agreed. I actually hated the car before I got the AWE Touring on. It sounds great now and completely woke it up: Not obnoxious but always present. Especially in Sport mode which is the only mode my car knows. ?
No need to apologise. I just wanted to say that calling it not that bad is a misnomer. In the right wind conditions and speeds, it is worse than bad: It's unbearable. Don't get me wrong, it's not always there and in fact, during the first part of my test drive I thought the same: it's overblown...
You couldn't be more wrong. In certain situations the wind buffeting is so bad that the car is almost undriveable with the windows down. I experienced this on the test drive! Maybe you haven't experienced it yet but it sounds like a helicopter inside the cabin.
Stop spreading misinformation.
PPF really does make a difference - My 15 year old daily has PPF on it and it has near zero paint chips. For context, I've seen a number of cars of the same make and vintage as mine without PPF and their front end is absolutely littered with pockmarks. I see it as a non-negotiable cost like...
The net looks right - just be aware that as far as I understand, US cars don't come with the mounting rings needed and they don't come with the net itself.
I bought the boot mat - sorry, trunk mat lol - from Greenline motorsports but after a quick look at their site, it doesn't seem to be...
The mat is actually "spill proof" and seems water resistant to the touch. Also, it has a small lip around it to contain spills. While I haven't spilled anything on it yet, I'm pretty confident it will work as advertised based on its feel. Also, the netting points are standard on our cars in...
OK so, even though nobody has said anything particularly bad, I'd like to suggest everyone stops replying because I think this thread is fueling a really bad situation.
In a bit of a plot twist, I simply gave up on this idea.
I still suspect it can be done.. but am no longer thinking it is really worth doing. Firstly, my partner's M car has an M HUD and it's actually pretty busy for what it is: I'm not sure I would love having that much distraction constantly...
