The transmission is a modified version of an existing BMW 6-speed (Either a ZF GS6 or Magna 6MTI550) with some case modifications and a new clutch system. Part Number will likely be bespoke to the Supra.
Thanks! I would love to do that and start some more YouTube videos of it, but it is just money I do not want to spend right now. I got rid of my BRZ because it rarely got driven, except for races. A Supra would just see the same fate :(
Awesome, great to see more people getting these on the twisty track. I would love to see what I could do in a stock Supra at my local track compared to my TT5 track BMW e36 or modified BRZ I had! Still resisting the urge to buy another car, hah!
I had a 2011 IS-F, very similar engine/powertrain that the RC-F has. Amazing engine and transmission. I had the Joe-Z exhaust on my IS-F, thing sounded so good.
I saw one posted on the CaC FB page, the guy just picked it up a few days ago. Supposedly the first one on the streets in the Denver area. Looked really good, Absolute Zero colored.
Love it for the most part, but that weight...oof.
At that price point and weight I would almost prefer and M2(c). The Supra is definitely the hot ticket though.
Damn that white looks so good, and the black wheels. Pleasantly surprised with the looks so far! The weight is the big discouraging point for me (coming from a 2600# BRZ), otherwise I like it.
Yea I hear you on that, been there as well. I think one of the benefits of using the B58 (and other engines) as well as some other BMW bits is the aftermarket already exists. Hopefully some of those things will translate to the MkV. I know it was mentioned in the realoem leak that the wheels...
