I have not got around to opening up the bumper shroud but based on what we are hearing here it should work. I would likely put a frog skin over the opening to minimize the dirt collecting in the space behind the bumper.
Tried first one one luck even with aggressive blue pad scrubbing. I’ll try the next and maybe wheel bright. Also try not to get this stuff on the rotors btw it took some of the pad bedding off and made the braking wonky. Had to rebed
I have Hawk track pads and the dust adheres and forms a rust costing on the finish. I seem to remember a produst mentioned in one of the threads that worked well without trashing the finish. I tried a few that don’t work for crap.
Rear Camber: -2.0 to -2.4
.2 to .4 total rear toe in
What is .2-.4 in MM?
OK founds some notes. Apparently got -3.1 camber up front zero toe. -2.0 camber rear sl toe in. This doesn't make sense with the wear in my mind. I'll be interested to see what the pre-alignment readout is.
I didn't but I will this time. I am having it done at the tire retailer where I ordered the new dailies so I'm a little concerned they will resist going out of spec. I don't care about tire warrantees but you know how these retail shops can be. We will see. I have a decent string set-up at home...
I want to avoid this kind of wear when put on my new dailies. I have a track set now and the wear looks fine after 8 sessions maybe 40 laps. Any thoughts what would be a good compromise? Obviously I'll dial back the Toe from the current settings. I'm inclined to leave the camber as it is.
They do a string alignment and didn't have a readout but will when I redo it. I am betting the Toe is too agressive.
TY Bryan I had that reversed. You know I thought it was toe as well. The wear appeared after the track alignment and seemed odd for camber. The car has felt perfectly normal...
OEM PSSs inside shoulder worn to belts. The wear is unusual even for 13k miles. It involves the front much more than the rear but definitely both. I have Eibach sway bars and Verus camber plates up front. I’m not sure on the exact camber and I did have a track alignment at a local shop. Could...
BTW that heat shielding is amazing stuff. I just had a manifold and turbo on another application wrapped in it by ATP. If you sent out your manifold and turbo they could do the same and you would be amazed at the drop in temps in that area. Maybe this winter:)
I did see that video but IIRC the data was collected by a limited number of “pulls” not session data like Bryan logs. The snorkel has “gills” cut in the side which thru up my concerns about restriction. My concern is eliminating the snorkel underlies the benefits Bryan noted with that intake...
Bryan what about IATs? Were they affected? Was the OEM airbox data using the bumper snorkel you installed? I am a little concerned the snorkel could be a choke point in higher output applications like yours.
The ambient was 95 at CMS yesterday. Track temps were actually 150s. My lap times were fastest on the outlap and 1 or 2 hot laps and dropped thereafter.
I can testify that the SM-RS 18" ET30 with Maxis RC-1s work but I had to remove the rubber on the perch. Very tight but fine.
Man I am stuck need something for the summer. Maybe another Stock set errr
