I don't think there's anything extra you need to do in order to hear the turbo aside from installing the intake itself. Are you sure everything is mounted correctly and tight? Could be a loose fitting is letting the air go another way.

Previous owner of my car installed a street hunter wing. I'm curious to as if there's any quantitive data about it's effects. Is it actually hurting my lap times? Surely it provides some non-zero downforce.

Seems like really uneven wear on those tires with that setup. I've never seen V730s get corded before the outside edges have turned into slicks.
