  1. Ghosted by Sameh?

Not really sure. I’m assuming he has a close posse that fronts for him or just pays extra attention to the big hitters. I was fully expecting the same from Botti, but so far hasn’t been the case. Obviously I can tell he’s busy, and so am I, so that makes it challenging, but he’s gone out of his...
  2. Ghosted by Sameh?

Lmao no. New set up now with Botti. He’s been great.
  3. Black Market Race Catch Can

Never mind, so the head ports themselves are the source of the vacuum as they are right over the intake valves, and under idle/part throttle act as vacuum source but obviously are pressurized under boost. Makes sense to block these off under high boost applications since clearly the factory...
  4. Black Market Race Catch Can

I guess I’m just gonna buy a catch can and vent the oil breather and high-side PCV port, but I can’t really believe that the block off pins/check valves are really needed. Where does the source of vacuum for the check valves, if you’re using those, come from if you’re venting the high side port...
  5. Black Market Race Catch Can

Sorry for run-on. I bought Ross racing check valves trying to be proactive (installing LPFP and port injection to up boost on my DAW ultra flow r) but as I’m thinking about it, it seems these things solve a problem and simultaneously create another. And the solution to the subsequent problem...
  6. Black Market Race Catch Can

In terms of the CCV line on the low side, as others have said, this is merely a “fresh air” line. When the factory PCV system is functioning, it essentially serves as an air source (think shotgunning a beer). Would recommend wither using OEM line with check valve and if no provision for that...
  7. Black Market Race Catch Can

So I can’t help but think that block off pins or check valves do anything at all besides redirect the problem. That is to say divert the crankcase pressure away from potentially damaging the valve cover/integrated PCV system. Still need somewhere for that crankcase pressure to go, which the...
  8. RK Autowerks intake manifold install difficulty

We spent a little time getting fitment perfect. We ground some clearance on the flange portion of the intake manifold which helped a lot. We also had to cut the rear bracket to make room for the manifold. Also ran the bolts up through the bottom with some locktite/lockwashers to make some...
  9. RK Autowerks intake manifold install difficulty

For future reference, it does matter, and the outlet from water pump goes to top line on back of manifold. All in all, it does fit and it does look awesome. Hope it performs well. BTW, this manifold came highly recommended by a buddy who deals with BMWs so I had high expectations. Plus, I live...
  10. RK Autowerks intake manifold install difficulty

So does it matter which of the coolant hoses on the back of the manifold connect to which of the others? Not sure if there is a check valve or something in the manifold. As you might imagine, this thing did not come with any instructions.
  11. RK Autowerks intake manifold install difficulty

Well, it’s in there. I did have to ditch both the front and rear bracket and clearance the manifold slightly on the back runner flanges. According to RK, this is common… customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
  12. RK Autowerks intake manifold install difficulty

The reply from RK is “you’re supposed to remove the rear bracket, it is not used on your vehicle.” Seems easy enough, but also seems like maybe a “solve problem quickly, make customer happy, move on” answer. It will definitely fit without the bracket, after some grinding on the manifold, but I...
  13. RK Autowerks intake manifold install difficulty

Here is another pic, bracket removed and out of the car. Unless there is a spacer that is supposed to go with this, it’s not going to fit without cutting this bracket. I find that inexcusable for a 3000$ manifold. I’ve emailed them…. maybe extra parts were left out of my shipment or I’m doing...
  14. RK Autowerks intake manifold install difficulty

Attached are photos with NO phenolic spacer on, and the bolt holes for the top of the manifold line up perfectly, but as you can see below the rear support bracket has zero chance of lining up. First pic is the front support bracket, last three are the rear.
  15. RK Autowerks intake manifold install difficulty

I have a brand new, looks like V2, RK Autowerks intake manifold I’m installing. Pics are attached as this one looks different than ones on website, and box says V2. Not sure exactly what they changed In any case, the manifold doesn’t seem to fit quite right. With the phenolic spacer, it seems...
  16. Weld Drag Pack - Weldstars Black Edition

These are Weld RT Weldstars, Black Editions 17x10 rear beadlocks and 17x5 front runners. 4200 brand new wheels only through Titan. Rears come with Mickey Thompson ET Street SS 305/45-17 with about 4000 street miles and 3 drag passes on them. There is a hole in the rear driver tire which...
  17. BM3 and port injection

I hear you on that. Every time I’ve had a question (about rev2 or otherwise) their responses have been generously sprinkled with annoyance so I think I’ll move on to a different tuning platform. I can’t say anything good about bm3 or “pro tuning freaks”
  18. BM3 and port injection

Just want to chime in and see how things are going for anyone else. I also bought bm3 about a year ago… been waiting on rev2 for probably a year at this point. About to switch to ecutek or MHD+ but I know as soon as I do rev2 will be released. I’m honestly about to ditch bm3 just out of principle.
