The OEM setup is a compromise just like anything else you change in the car. If you want what the engineers intended, then stick to OE tires.
The OE tires are a bit dated and there are better options out there. Remember development of the car started back in 2014ish.
personally I would choose...
there should be autox events closer than track day events as they're mostly held in large parking lots. check motorsportreg.com for events.
i own a gr86 and a supra as well. i think the gr86 is a better track/autox car because the limits are much lower. tires are also cheaper. since the gr86 is...
if driver development is a top goal, i'd also look into doing autocross events. you can push the car to its limit much more with less risk compared to a track day event.
the official MCS website is a bit confusing. do they sell directly to customers, or do you need to go through an MCS dealer? there's no official MCS dealer list on their site either.
curious if you could elaborate on vorschlag MCS setup and why they were poor. my understanding is that each MCS vendor can specify their own valving, spring rates, etc. or do all MCS shocks just use off the shelf valving unless specified?
penske offers piggyback systems, which are superior to...

i'd email them still to confirm pricing.
you can also contact Shaftworks to get pricing for Penskes if you're looking at top tier shocks.
JRI and Nitron are also higher end brands as well.
I think you get diminishing returns at these price points and you should pick the one that can provide you the most support and faster turn around times for a rebuild/revalve since most club sport shock customers donât have a dedicated...
These open ended questions are hard to answer.
Perhaps build for a specific time trial class. Look at SCCA Time Trial rules.
If youâre asking for hpde prep, then high temp brake fluid and pads.
got it. the main thing is using the OEM spring and the proper spring perch to be at factory height. i can't remember the details but i believe MCS didn't bother to make a 100% B Street legal shock, so a B Street member had to build his own spring perch or something. Unlikely to matter unless...
If youâre open to any color, you should be able to find a manual Supra for sticker price. You may need to put in some time and effort to find one though but theyâre out there. These cars arenât that special. I wouldnât pay a dollar over sticker for one.
Also with high interest rates, there will...
This is from the owner of Shaftworks. But he essentially said penskes if you want the last bit of performance and willing to do more frequent rebuilds. JRZ and MCS most likely acquire their parts from the same supplier and you get a bit more mileage out of them before needing a rebuild.
200 units and only in Japan. May as well be a Gran Turismo car lol.
itâs cool that Toyota created a âclub specâ Supra.
if lap time is the main goal, you can do cheaper and better with tires and a nice set of coilovers though.
Pretty overpriced. Carmax likely paid 56-58k for it.
If itâs sitting on the lot, itâs because itâs overpriced.
hereâs a low mileage a91 MT

Imo, all the âspecial editionâ Supras sold in the US havenât been impressive. All just cosmetics.
