It's an interesting article... but the comparison vs the real world sales will be interesting.
The FRS/86/GT86 is an amazing drivers car (and I'm not just saying that cos I own one... it really is)... yet sales haven't really been as amazing as Toyota hoped, or deserved.
Nice to see something...
This for me is it...
For similar money I'd buy a Cayman first (manual or auto) over the new Supra. And I personally dig the new Supra, but when I can have a Cayman... with manual/auto/engine options (or a Boxster if you want the roof off) + the Porsche quality, brand and re-sale value it just...
Congrats @SlowGTR on your car... and the kit.
My only issue with RB kits in general is that I don't like seeing the bolts /fasteners all over the place. The overall shape of the kit and making the car look meaner is awesome.
Just a personal preference.
I’d like to say the TRD concept is nice... but something seems “too busy”. And “too much”.
Don’t know if it’s maybe cos they parts aren’t the same colour as the body or what, but I like the normal car better.
I was readi
I was reading dumb ass YouTube comments before I read some more on the forum... so not aimed at anyone in particular :)
Just amazes me how wide spread this attitude is with the Supra - and I guess proves what a cult classic the older models have become (justified or not).
So what...?
G*d why do people keep going on about this utterly mundane and pointless feature.
Not picking on you dude, but some many people ranting and raving about the car having BMW parts. Soooooo many modern cars do this, but supra fans just won’t let it go. It’s getting old now.
Anyway...
After all the hype, leaks, non-leaks, camp... etc etc etc.
It looks exactly as expected. Which is a good thing imo - I like it.
Still, nice to actually see it now.
Fair enough, but for the majority of the market I think the cayman is still pretty much the benchmark 2 seater sports car in this “premium-but-still-within-reach” category.
:)
