In addition to the alignment, you mentioned that you have your rear sway is on middle stiffness. You may want to consider softening up the rear bar to gain a little more rear compliance.
For every bad shop that had customer(s) vocalized their complaints, there many others that took good care of their customers, but their customers aren't standing on soapboxes praising their experiences. Not all CA shops are subpar.

Perhaps reduce rear dampening/rebound and drop rear 1-3 PSI incrementally to see if it helps reduce rear twitchiness. Some extra .2-.5 rear camber can help with mid-corner grip. I can only imagine how twitchy the rear is w/ 196 N/mm rear + sways. I run Ohlins w/ 140 N/mm rear + 23mm rear bar...
I had the same problem with rubbing with screw+spacer when the rear wheel was compressed. I am aftermarket wider wheels with wider tires. I ended up taking rock guards off but I am compelled to try trimming it to see if I can get them to not rub.
I run RE71RS on my STI and Supra. They're excellent track tires and overkill on the street. Here are my takeaways:
Lateral grip is well beyond PSS, very high ceiling before break away, responsive sidewalls, and very communicative to driver
Heat tolerance during lapping is good, not great. Will...
Running the catted version.
Yea, I deleted the cabin noise since the first few weeks of owning the car. I'd rather hear the real exhaust than piped in noise.
Agreed! I like this one more than the burnt tips. If I knew this one existed, I would have opted for this one!
I've have a HKS Super Turbo Muffler exhaust + AA Downpipe and ran the HKS with OE downpipe for a few months. Here is my assessment of it.
HKS + OE DP
Exhaust is pretty quiet and only slightly louder than stock, probably several decibels above OEM - according to HKS' blog, HKS STM idle is ~...
I am highly considering an ITS as a daily driver. It checks the boxes as to what I look for in a daily driver - fun, practical, comfortable, and reliable. My Supra and STI checks 2 or 3 of these boxes, which make them better served as my weekend/track cars.
I wouldn't consider cross shopping an...
HKS Super Turbo Muffler is less loud than the HKS Hi-Power. Super Turbo Muffler is slightly louder than stock. Both are cat-back so you won't have to worry about anything related to smog checks or CARB compliance as they don't alter emission parts.
Sound compliance is a different story. The...
I ordered Millway street plates and are expected to arrive this week. I will assemble them with the R&T, but probably won't install onto the car until after my April track days, as I won't have time to get the car corner balanced and aligned.
I've run Vorshlag plates on my GDB and found them...
Thank you! Similar to you, I've gone with Ohlins R/T. Plan on running them with camber plates (Verus plates if Evolution can manufacturer the spacers) and Eibach F/R sways - then off to get corner balanced. Still undecided on pads and track wheels specs - 18x10.5 squared, 18x11 squared, 18x10...
Eibach Z4 springs are excellent on the street - slightly stiffer than stock and retain much of the OEM ride comfort, reduced wheel gap, while not be so low that you scrap everywhere. Handling precision and responsiveness is slightly increased over stock. They are not too soft for the street or...
