    I think the issue is with the ride height sensors. You should change the pressure based sensors to physical height sensors. The ECU is detecting a catastrophic suspension failure and is trying to save you from a crash.

    Yes. Ordered the BMW knob and adapter. Boot retainers work depending on the shape of the knob. If the knob has a wide opening at the bottom (designed for reverse lockouts), it will not lock the boot retainer in place and it will rattle. So I am not using the boot retainer with this knob.

    Just change it twice a year. No need to complicate it unnecessarily. Its not like you leave the engine running at idle for hours.

    The difference is more pronounced with the clutch disengaged, but it is there during driving as well and is quite noticeable.

    It allows you to choose Normal throttle mapping for Sport and Sport+ modes. Feels a lot more linear and less jumpy on initial throttle in. Slides are a lot easier to control.

    When fuel quality is the limiting factor, you should use a lower octane map. That would give you the optimum and cleanest operation. You post is quite self contradictory.
