February Car and Driver has a cover page intro type article...my impression was the response was pretty luke warm. Definitely seems to suggest that anyone's dream about pulling big power reliably out of the BMW engine are going to fall far short of the old 2JZ.
I'm looking for a competent grand tourer...even with that in mind, 335 hp seems like a pretty light hitter. There are numerous turbo 4cyls out there making 300 hp with very little fuss. My expectation is for a min of 380 hp and a no hassle warranty.
If I am going to spend that kind of money I would hope to have the options for performance improvements instead of all the granny electronic add-ons like lane keeping, parking assist, pre-collision, etc. Way too much fluff, even for a GT car, in the standard configuration!
