I got Pagid one piece rotors from rock auto but they weigh the same as the oem 2 piece rotors. I went through my first set pretty quickly so I'm looking for value rather than potential weight savings although there isn't any penalty either.
I had this issue with the PMU CRs and it was from using the OE rotors that had stock pad material on them. The forum said to bed them again and again and that didn't help. Only when I got new rotors entirely did it get better.
Here's the 275/18/35 RT660s on the 18X10 wheel. It's definitely a bit wider than the wheel but felt fine on track. I might go a size narrower if I use these tires again.
Here's a pic of the fender liner rubbing (probably mostly turn 2 at Thunderhill East):
And a bonus shot of the S2K with...
Fender is fine, although I hit the plastic inner liner on compression. I'll share in the pics. The issue is the strut perch. I actually have an S2000 I track as well that I just changed the suspension/wheels/brakes on, but as Razorlab said it's not an issue on the Macpherson struts the Supra has.
I'll take a picture of the tires on the wheels off the car tomorrow.
Yup stock suspension. I do have lower control arms with lower camber (-3 in the front) so it might be different with stock camber, but I think the negative camber might actually make the clearance worse. I'm not sure though.
I run 18x10 ET30 Apex wheels as my track wheels with 275/35/18 RT660 tires.
The RT660s run about a size wide and I ran into clearance issues on the front spring perch just barely rubbing and the plastic front upper fender liner was ground up from the tire hitting it on hard compression. I...
I've been happy with them, Verkline definitely makes quality parts.
I didn't track the car before I put the arms on so I can't speak too much on the performance side other than spirited driving but to be honest I didn't notice any difference in ride quality or feel after I changed them. They...
I would add that V730s are not good in the wet, particularly after some wear as the outer shoulder turns basically into a slick. They're a great value for speed and durability otherwise.
https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/articles/track-tire-buyers-guide/ is a great resource although I don't...
If you reused your rotors with a different pad material previously you'll keep getting shudder. I ended up needing a new set of rotors to bed in the club racers before I got them to work properly.
Both the Clutch Master's kit and PTB (with upgraded sinter disks) are rated for around 1000 ft/lbs of torque so the disc/clamping seem relatively similar and should be plenty durable unless you're running some insane power figures.
Unfortunately as these products are fairly new and the number...
So I installed the Rogue engineering (G8X) rear carrier bushing today. I'm definitely pleased with the product build quality.
Install wasn't too bad on jack stands and I managed to get it replaced without having to remove the exhaust or driveshaft. I took out the rear brace that goes over the...
Purchased from Twisted Tuning earlier this year. I test fit the rear bracket on the car but ultimately decided to leave it stock.
Product is unused other than the test fitting. Payed $475 after shipping and is currently on back order. Includes all hardware, the included long bolts for the rear...
We can say it won't make 500 whp on 91 octane because bigger turbos have failed to do so but given that this turbo is so new and likely none of us have it, I don't think there's anyway we can give you a figure on the power it's going to make with any certainty.
If you're looking for the experience of the Exige there isn't a lot of options that are going to be as raw as that. Supra is great all around but doesn't scratch the same itch if that's what you want.
Congrats on the purchase!
