It's actually pretty funny that they thought about it (and were probably asked about it), but still decided to brand the part.
I have to wonder if it ultimately hurt their business, or helped in the long-run🤔
dc5upra and stormgreysupra Thanks for the replies. I spoke with Maxton and they did say the label is just a gel sticker that is easily removed. I went ahead and bought it.
It was already on my car when I bought it a few years ago, and I really like its simple OEM+ look. But a retarded bunny decided to hop out in front of me and kamikaze itself on my car, breaking the lip.
I looked around a bit, and it looks like the Maxton Design lip, but the Maxton one has their...
It's even worse for me, because I have a heavy foot. I naturally drive fast. The fact that I'm driving fast, makes others think I want to race them. I have ZERO interest in street racing.
It's to the point where if I see a car speeding to catch me, or riding next to me revving, I'll drive a...
I would definitely recommend you try the one SupraTyler made. I didn't want the factory ones for the same reason as you. They just seem like they'd be too flimsy/weak over time. The 3D printed ones drop into the cup holder and rest firmly on the bottom. Very secure. It's only $35, so you're not...
It's not a literal comparison. It's an analogy.
I'm saying the cup holder covers are an option that don't take away from anything. It just boils down to what you want in the moment. Just like windows being up or down.
The holes aren't comfortable for my arm/elbow.
Also, it's not a permanent change. It's covering them up for comfort, then uncovering them when it's time to use them.
Your question is like questioning why we're allowed to roll our windows down, when they do such a good job of keeping the wind...
I bought them and I'm quite happy. Easy to pop in, and pop back out when I need to put a coffee there.
The fact that it's not 100% form fitted, makes it easier to remove. If there was no space to the sides, you'd have a tough time getting it out I think.
Honestly, not a bad job. Absolutely not my cup of tea, but I would put your car in the category of "Unique taste", instead of "Rice".
Maybe it's just me🤷♂️
I have to agree. I think a lot of people are looking at it from a functional/car guy standpoint. In which case, it's a dumb kit attempting to make a front engine car look like a mid/rear engine car.
But if you look at it solely for aesthetics, not focused on the drivetrain layout...it's a nice...
I'll have to try that, because it's really odd to me how such a gorgeous car in person, can look so weird in pictures/video.
I'm not "picture taking savvy" though. Any chance you can explain how to do the telephoto thing on an android (S24 ultra)?
Funnily, I was never a fan of the MK4. I had an RX7, so the MK4 was the ops, lol. The MK4 always seemed so bulky and bulbous to me. The RX7 was much sexier and slim.
I love the lines of the MK5 though.
My old baby. I still have a few pictures (she was much more photogenic than the MK5 imo):
Congratulations! I've owned my '22 for a few years now, and I still look for excuses to drive it, even when I don't really have anywhere to go😁
Side note: And maybe it's just me, but I don't know what it is that makes the Supra so unphotogenic. I remember when it first released...I thought it...
