Lighter than 100lbs? A base/sport equipped Z comes in at 3,232lbs. So you're telling me a Supra Mk5 is coming at 3100lbs? Doubtful. I expect it to be around 3200-3400lbs. That Z4 platform/chassis isn't that light.
Also watch this if you think a Z is "slow"
Will a Supra be faster? Sure but...
WTF is a performance car now? .:nono: Seriously your trolling levels are getting higher and higher.
A BRZ, Mk5 Supra, Miata and Cayman are all sports cars.
A Challenger, Mustang, Camaro are what one would call pony cars or muscle cars. But these days they can be considered sports cars as well...
Vent location as the new Z4. The interior dash, layout, transmission tunnel and iDrive controller is almost identical. It screams 100% BMW. I was hoping they would change some things on the inside as well and make it unique like the exterior.
Oh for fvcks sake. Get off your high horse.
And these discussions go on becoming repetitive and goes in circles all thanks to your dumb baseless comments. Maybe if you stop stirring the pot so much, we can actually go somewhere with the posts. All you are doing is basing your nonsense claims...

Whatever. As long as it seats 5, big, practical and looks like a SUV people will buy it. Let's see how many Supra's Toyota moves if its marked up to 80k. Guaranteed it won't be 3.5k units.
I see. Well yes initially it will be hard to get but after year one they will be readily available. Plus that's a good thing as you can wait for any teething problems to be ironed out and not have to pay a markup ;)
Sure. That's how it is with most performance cars. But calling it limited ala GT4/GT3 numbers or even something like a NA-1/NA-2 NSX is kinda misleading.
Really? Go to any BMW dealership and you can easily get a Z4 of your choice. Go to a Porsche dealership and good luck walking out with a GT car. And if you are talking about the Mk4 then sure I'd agree but pretty sure both the Mk5 and new Z4 being a shared platform will be readily available...
