Sure it can be fine. BUt not everyone runs a good quality oil so appeal to the lowest denominator.
If i ran a 300km race. I would change it. 15 laps, I would change it.
You can never over service a car and the oils performance whilst being in spec after repeated thrashings, ....is never as...
Another useless post. I wish this guy would just stick to his tinkering informative posts instead of puffing his chest all the time. Not everyone is knowledgeable and certainly not everyone is good at search indexing considering all the tripe from this guy I have had to skim over in this forum...
I would not recommend it. The thinner oil is used in these cars strictly for cold start and emissions. You are better off with a 5w40.
I also suggest changing just before with fresh oil and straight after a track day.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion ( even when wrong).
If you can afford a supra, you are not 3rd world dude......not at all. That label in this country generally implies uneducated, poor and I don't think you fit that bill with its meaning here.
I find it interesting that you consider...
"Mr Lefty Progressive Woke I am offended flake" has me on block as he doesn't want to hear differing opinions.
It is so typical of todays youth to go off the rails over a few words.
"I don't like immigrants that come here that are uneducated and don't assimilate and milk our welfare" As I...
You have opened up pandoras box there. Yes crimes are commited by all sorts of people. BUt if you want to look at figures that unfortunately paint a poor picture:
Just look at the murder rates per 100000 people in the USA by race and yet every time I have visited the states, i have been...
it's the opposite here for pricing. The bridgestones are crazy expensive compared to cup 2s. Which ever is the cheapest of the two is best bet as i found them to be similar in performance.
I didn't realise assetto corsa had the track. One thing tho, i dont find it translates as well to real compared to iracing. Hopefully they scan the track so we can have it on the service.
I think people that ride bikes on australia publics roads are nuts. DOesnt matter how good a rider you...
On the money there, it's not race that's a problem. It's some interpretations of culture. Remember the cronulla riots? One of the instigations was another culture type saying crass things to scantily clad women....at the beach. Last two years alone in NSW sexual assault up 8.8% which is not...
weirdly when i sent mine to Femto they loaded up a OTS bm3 stg 2 tune to my ecu so the drive to the tuner was 'different"........ I thought, gee.....must be cold outside as it's pulling harder. The baseline dyno pull was a shock!
I haven't tried it since as the two custom tunes I am very happy...
You potatoed the tyres!
contis are an excellent all rounder road tyre but they dont like too much heat on repetition. If you are unable to run two sets of rims for track days and dont drive the car so much. A good compromise for track and road is the sport cup 2's from michelin. They arent too...
Between this info and the reviews of the wagner intercooler/inlet and their heat exchanger upgrade it should be the first upgrade after tuning. The exchange rate is a killer tho.
i dont have a sloped driveway unfortunately. Makes sense tho.
The issue have is that i have an excellent foam attachment I use with my old school Karcher pro (the grey ones) and the soap suds stick pretty well to the inside. Even with a blower the foam is all over the shop. I wonder if that...
I had lessons there 15 years or so ago in a RWD and the best advice I was given was latest apex as possible at turn 1 and commit to some throttle to get it to turn. I have slid off a couple of times but kept it away from barriers. It's a pretty technical track and it's not in a sim that i know...
You guys have the biggest balls of all. I like a bit of metal between me and the walls/trees.
I tell you what else is scary there.......a poorly sorted high powered FWD with epic lift -off oversteer characteristic. Code browns.
looks awesome and i bet it's fun as hell.
SMP turn 1 commitment takes some getting used to. You have big kahunas going in there raw.
There is an open day at Bathurst a couple of times a year. (The hill climbs only do half the track ) Fancy taking it to the mountain?
At least the supra was released in the US. My last car never made it to US shores, so major mods had to be done locally and expensively or worse yet, parts from europe with a weak $AUD. There wasnt anyone in the country who could tune it properly so I had to hire a dyno at an ungodly hour and...
