Knowing what you now know, would you have gotten something different? If yes, which? I'm leaning AJ w/ 5" stick out but am somewhat worried about street-ability. (Outside of driving to/from track, the car sees little street time; but I don't want to have to tow to track so still need it to be...
I expect he is talking about stock suspension given the reference to clearance issues with the front spring perch. As another datapoint, 275/35/18 Continental ECFs on an Apex 18x10 ET30 work fine w/ a 3mm spacer up front.
What would you get instead with what you now know? I was leaning racebred and using pro awesome in lieu of the cables.
OP, what do you plan to replace the racebred with?
But, since it's hanging down, it shouldn't be terribly difficult to strip the ends and wire them together - and then use BimmerLink to reset the maintenance cycle. That said, I would think you'd want to pull the wheel and figure out what's going on that caused it to come out in the first place.
@razorlab, how'd you customize the dashbuilt - i.e., what customizations did you get on yours? And, anything you'd do differently in retrospect (understanding that you may have additional thoughts after it's installed)?
@Mdstx - here's the install video. Looks straightforward but tedious.
