Imagine the trouble you'd be in if you put these on your car and a passenger got injured in an accident. I'd only do it if I felt confident I could prove I made other modifications to improve the vehicle's overall safety (read: installed a cage).
My (BMW) presets are as follows:
1- Radio Presets (lets me just use 1 button for all my radio presets)
2- Satellite Radio Time Shift
3- Navigation - Alternate Route Option
4- Navigation - Traffic List
5- Audio System Tone Controls
6- Bluetooth On/Off
7- Navigate Office
8- Navigate Home
I agree. BMW dealers seemingly are used to people inquiring unreleased product; where Japanese and Korean brands act like Iām weird for discussing anything not already available to buy.
I agree with the above. An all active setup definitely provides more control for those who can properly utilize it; and I do love the benefits of having a direct connection between driver and amplifier. I just want to warn the novices that may not realize itās an expert move. We just want to be...
I use a square milk crate from http://www.buymilkcrates.com/ in my BMW 3 Series. They have a smaller footprint; holes to attach bungee cords; color options; and Made In USA. Oh- and theyāre very inexpensive at $7.99 each for the square version I personally prefer.
Iāve been trying to find images of a Supra with the body āventsā painted to match the exterior color of the car. However itās been difficult to search for this. Has anyone seen this and can share images/thread?
While I also suffer from the inability to prevent myself from modifying my vehicles (my BMW is pretty heavily modified), we have to acknowledge weāre just a small minority. The vast majority of owners keep their vehicle mechanically stock. There simply is a huge benefit of a better stock power...
Weāre in vigorous agreement.
Iām not being definitive about staying away from scuttling the passive network; Iām just saying that itās an expert move that has downsides to consider.
Let the record show that I played no designing or engineering role on the (truly special) KEF Muon. Sorry if I...
As a trained audio engineer with over 35 years experience in designing audio systems; I fully grasp the theoretical allure of eliminating the passive filters and going active. However, I usually recommend against this unless the tuner is skilled on an expert level (not saying you personally...
My suspicion is BMW agreed to provide Toyota with last-Gen engines and infotainment, so the German marque has a leg up. If I am correct Toyota will get the B58 when BMW moves to the next motor (if there is one); probably when the 3 Series LCI happens in the 2023 MY. I donāt think BMW is sharing...
Not my post but thatās from the new Tundra V6 rumor mill.
Personally I donāt see the Supra moving away from using an inline 6 made by BMW. If anything I see the Supra moving to using BMWās newer B58.
I second this motion. Great UHPAS tire thatās biased more towards foul weather conditions than the Michelin Pilot All Season. The Conti DWS is my winter tire as I donāt drive in snow and ice often enough to warrant using a full-on winter tire.
Acceptability of such a concept aside... Do you really believe a LOADED golf bag will fit on the passenger seat of a Supra; or are you just trolling? ?
I guess weāre getting to the root of the situation because this extremely-experienced track day driver doesnāt ever try to maximize engine braking. I have a difficult time imagining anyone short of someone rebuilding engines for a living wanting anyone to use their drivetrain for slowing down a...
Holding down the ā-ā paddle to downshift to the lowest available gear is a common BMW feature in at least the ZF8... but I personally canāt imagine wanting to perform this action under braking.
