I have an m4 with the 7 speed dct and Iāve driven many variants of the zf 8 speed including the Supra ā Iād much rather have the DCT. In the most aggressive DCT mode in stop and go traffic you could get some jerkiness if youāre not smooth with throttle application, thatās about it otherwise itās...
You missed your chance unfortunately, all the socal showings were in July and August and there were a ton of them. The only ones left are NorCal. You'll likely have to wait until your dealers have one for a minute.
I like what the Supra offers in terms of performance, just not looks. Like you, I'm just glad we have a choice.
The one thing I will add is the dealer attitude towards the Supra vs the C8 -- even in the Bay Area -- two high volume dealers are are committed to MSRP while nobody within 200 miles...
I finally ended up seeing the Supra in person and then the C8 in person. Immediately got my deposit back for the Supra and placed a $5K deposit on the C8 @msrp. The Supra simply lacks the presence of the C8. It just isnāt there for me looks wise.
I was wondering about this, because I've seen the Toyota diff described as an "electronic active limited slip differential" with the capability to "fully lock" the diff "instantly".
From what I can find on the 215LW (Spline) is an open diff -- and I've read the Supra isn't getting the M Sport...
All of the dealers here are giving me an information blackout, they're all pretending like they never spoke to me before about preorders and their planned adms. They're all basically waiting until they actually get cars in.
Well 20K markup would be $75K not $85-90K -- but also that places the car into an M4 w/ some options, an Afla Romeo Giulia QF, Audi RS5 Coupe, or AMG C63S.
I have a Model 3 and an S2000 and used to regularly track my S2000. I'm looking to replace the S2000 with the A90 and am also considering a second performance model 3 -- and I think I've decided against the P3D. Comes down to two negatives:
- I've even replaced the drive unit on the Model 3 at...
I visited Piercey Toyota in Milpitas, CA again this weekend, they didn't wanna say anything about markups -- they said they would be getting 3 launch editions. Idk how they know this seeing as nothing has been allocated. They said they weren't doing a wait list, they'd just call me up when they...
I just heard the same thing :( I'm still not willing to pay above MSRP.
What tooling do they need? A 16mm instead of a 17mm socket? :) I gotchu dealers!
Yup, sounds like a whole lot of bullshit. I've never bought a new car from a dealership, but I hear the same stories all the time. I bought a Tesla last year -- and while the car and the service center model has plenty of issues to complain about -- buying a car from them was definitely not one...
1. Will you buy the 2020 Supra as soon as you can? Or will you wait for the 2021? (Or later)
2020
2. What color combination will you get?
White/Red
3. What will you use your car for primarily? (Daily driving? Weekend? Track?)
Weekend and Track
4. How much do you expect to drive your car...
