This is my observation as well. I keep an eye on the oil pressure and check oil level using BimmerLink. Haven't made it a priority to swap out the oil pump, but if they extend this warranty to Toyota, I'm jumping on it.

I did mine a few weeks ago. The actual work is easy to take off and put back the seat belts. Sending your old seat belts and waiting it to come back from the vendor took 2 weeks, so plan for that. Got mine done through Seatbeltmasters on eBay.

Those sensors are expensive! I replaced mine with a OEM Bosch variant for $60 and it's been working fine, even painted to match the car. https://www.ebay.com/itm/197553535379

Have you confirm the settings didn't save? I got the error message during the coding process as well, but the new settings were saved.

I didn't use any special tool. If you can fit a plier to grip the plastic cap, a firm pull should do. I had to use a pick tool and small flat head screwdriver to get it out. Other than that, maybe a pass through deep socket? They also updated their instructions PDF.
