Hey all, as the title states, I'm wanting to inquire about rear quarter blind spot and rear window visibility with the Dashbuilt roll bar installed. I think I have finally reached the point in the hobby where I need to get serious about proper safety equipment (and the Supra is already an...
About the same. At this point I don't track out too much on entry just to avoid the marbles. Turn 2 exit is petty bad though and the bumps can prevent you from putting power down properly.
Yeah, no signs of rubbing the hood just yet for me with camber plates. Will see how it goes once I go with 295s. Gonna see what spacer I can get away with, though maybe the shorter side wall will give me a small amount of room.
@Subydude
Managed to do a 70.2 today at WWT. My optimal predicted...
Finally got a moment to do a pre event inspection before season ender. Here’s a better pic of the front fender rub.
Also, interestingly I have found that I am also rubbing the rear fender liner but only on the passenger side.
Best I can surmise is that it is mainly rubbing during cornering on...
Depends on your tire and the rest of your suspension setup. I'd just do a front sway bar first. I'm not the biggest fan of doing too much with geometry correction unless you really know what you're doing. The S2000 has bump steer for days and I'm still on all OEM pick ups.
My best so far has been a 1:11.X and that was my first day on track with the car so I was still feeling it out and getting used to it. For my second round at WWT I couldn't go faster because of 99F+ weather and terrible track evolution. I think even in my car's current form it has sub 70 sec...
Most orgs just run the standard road course.
This is the Formula D layout in red which runs through nascar bank 2.
Organizers tell me they don't like running it because it's hard to corner captain turn 2 through 5B and the sequence is pretty close to the concrete barriers so they're afraid...
Looking back at my old footage from 2024 I think turn 2 has always been that bad. It has grooves in all the wrong places. I think turn 6 still has gotten worse though. Didn't run the track in 2025 though since I was mostly at ACC and OIR.
Regardless it's still my home turf and a pretty fun...
Unfortunately WWT and NASA @ ACC were the same week last month and I chose ACC. Will probably go to WWT next week though if you can make it.
I feel like every time I run at WWT it's been after the drifty bois so I can't tell if it's bad road surface or just a crap ton of OPR. The turn 6...
It's kinda funny, it's not listed on their own web site but Jackie Ding's shop claims it's 10 mm longer but IDK if thats completely linear length. Rough back of the napkin math says that it probably adds around .75* negative camber for the same top hat position.
Any specific problem with the SPL? Main thing I see is that it uses a pinch clamp instead of a jam nut for the adjustment shank. Verkline seems expensive but maybe that's just the BMW tax. Any problems with the Seems Legit Garage components? Price point is more reasonable and maybe would get the...
Alrighty, got some more seat time in the car and feeling like I may want to make some more changes. At this point I'm digressing a bit from the original topic of this thread but I guess it's already running so why not. I'm looking to get a tad bit more camber up front. Currently running -3.0 and...
HKS HAS uses a narrower spring perch. I don't have the wheels off right now to measure but the top of the springs are the same diameter of oem and it tapers down to ~70mm? similar to a typical coilover spring. The HKS sleeve completely replaces the oem perch which was some trouble to remove for...
I think more caster would increase clearance to the front bumper but decrease clearance to the rear quarter panel/liner. The rubbing I found primarily occurs when the inside wheel is compressed, like going over a curb. This shouldn't be an issue with natural cornering at a track where the inside...
275+20 in front seems to be on the aggressive side and whenever you're on the bleeding edge of fitment very small details like exact tire brand, ride height, camber and method of alignment will affect clearance.
FWIW I run 275+27 in the front and measuring the contact patch to the edge of the...
Hey, I responded to your post on my thread. But I just wanted to add that I ended up with Verus just as the "simplest" option. I had read about and heard of some of the aforementioned issues with Vorshlag and GC products so ticked them off the list. I did have some interest in the Millway...
Only suspension bits I've done is the HKS HAS kit and Verus camber plates. Running F/R -3.0/-2.5 camber. I picked the numbers as a ball park from friends but so far the wear on the tires have been spot on. I do have a bit more range to adjust, like 1-2 mm before the shock might start binding...
Welp, I suppose as an update, finally made it out to track at Gateway. Car is fast as fuck even in current form. Beat my PB in the S2000 by 2 seconds and there's a whole lot more left in it. Absolutely no rubbing on track with 275+27 in front and running -3.0* camber. Everything else went...
