The skidpad results for the MkV are in great company with some very impressive cars, especially considering how many are running much stickier tires (Cup 2's, Trofeos, etc.)
The Mk4 is what cemented the Supra name in automotive history, though admittedly, the Mk3 also had some racing history in Group A. Without the Mk4, it is unlikely the new Supra would have received as much hype or attention as it did.
Though the MKV doesn't quite reach the numbers of a benchmarked 718 S , I think it's still an achievement that it offers similar performance levels while being around 25k less when similarly equipped, e.g. sports chrono, PDK, PASM.
In an apples to apples comparison to the Cayman S PDK, it does appear to be slower to 60 and the quarter, though it does better in the skidpad. Can't wait to see a lap time comparison between the two.
According to their website, ADV1 wheels are made in Kansas City, MO. I can't attest to their quality, having never used them, but they do seem to cater more towards street use than track performance. The new Supra looks promising in the aftermarket, and I hope there will be as many options...
