Lol ok so not quite the difference i thought, the FT1 just looks huge in pics and never seen it in person. Still 177" would be an ideal size. With a TTV6 pushing 550hp (hoping) with those dimensions it could carve up a track real good.
What's the size differential between the current 911 and the FT-1? It seems like it would almosst be 40% smaller than the FT-1. Didn't they already go on record that the concept is 10% (15%?) bigger than what the production version or something to that effect?
We sure do love our big engines! Makes sense we get to keep our big engines too since gas prices are so much cheaper in US compared to Europe and Asia. :headbang:
AMG GT S will start at $130,825, compared to $152,095 for the 911 Turbo.

Very cool.
Once you have a 3D model fully plotted, you can then have any look at the car you want - any angle, distance, color, etc. It's too bad he didn't show it in different colors other than the concept color.
:flame:
Joking :)
You're talking about technology from a $1+ million car though. If this setup were so easy to accomplish, we would have already seen it on 'regular' cars?
I think most of us are very against hybrid because hybrid cars have always been about efficiency not performance. Maybe...
i'm not hating on it, I was answering the OP's thread. More options equals costs that get spread to all owners of a car. I just don't see a huge market for 4cyl buyers at this price point and think Toyota should put everything into building the most affordable and best V6 they can. I think most...
Technology always flows down to some extent from top end halo sports cars so don't be surprised to see the FT1 / Supra get components from the LF-LC.
Plus it'd be a great marketing point to say that the Supra receives x, y, and z originally developed for a top end sports car like the LF.
Isn't the whole point of keeping costs down by joint developing so that you CAN do more with the platform. In that same vain, the BMW/Toyota collabo is the same idea. Are we to believe there will be no turbo or anything other than a coupe?
Vote no. Not a fan of small displacement engines for pure sports cars. Fuel efficiency shouldn't be the primary concern for a purebred sports car like the MKV is supposed to be.
