Based on some leaked info from Chevy its looking like the $60K base C8's are in the low 11's. It will be interesting to see what you folks will do w/this platform based on where you are w/the Supra - WOW you young guys are unbelievable - CONGRATS.

I wish the Supra had remote start & run flats - the base C8 gets you that. That being said I still thing the base Supra is the better buy w/the blind spot option - I'm going to check out a white & yellow one today. Premiums - still checking out colors & waiting for the prices to be discounted...

There is a dealer in the Miami area that's offering a $3,700 discount on a base model. Waite until they start stacking up on the lots like the Z4's are.

We need a remote start, even if its an option. There is no way I'll buy another vehicle w/o this line item.

I contacted a couple of dealers in my area - best price - about 4% off MSRP for 4 & 6 bangers. Anyway one has 8 and the other has 6 sitting on the lot. Saw a red Z4 at a strip mall the other day - it did look good. I must say it looked better than the red LE edition I saw parked downtown this...

$1800 is a good/smart deal. Than again your an engineer.

According to the Toyota structural its there to keep the seat back from going back any further than it does(this could be for safety reasons in a collision) & to hang the boot cover on.

Dealer in Naples was asking 10K markup. Sold for 5K markup. It was parked yesterday downtown. Its red - not a fan - almost looked like a matte red. Anyway I'll wait to see the other colors.

Mike - Excellent review. However you mentioned a couple of times that the bar behind the seats is structural. However this question was asked by a car reviewer at the race track in Virginia & the Toyota structural designer said it was not a structural piece. Please verify and correct.

You can have the aluminum bar removed, which is not a structural piece, & it would give you a little more flexability. That's the first thing I'm doing, than the tint on the rear hatch, so stuff doesn't cook back there.

In south florida there are quite a few base C7 in the 50K range. I've been looking at them & have test driven a couple - actually pretty nice sports car. The reason I was looking at the C7 was the space behind the seats for my dog & stuff. However their A8 can be a problem if you get a bad...
