I see people on this forum already putting in wrong spec oils so the market as a whole I’m concerned as well. Buying used you don’t know how the car was maintained unless it was a lease, and even then it’s the dealer not screwing up

Yes, my reason though is because a lot of people here will be using the wrong oils in their engines. For example just regular Mobil 1 0w20 for Toyota’s vs the BMW specific LL-14 FE+ spec or the LL-01 spec oils Slug problems and failures might happen in the longer term....
