The rear brakes remain the same on this package?
Strange Toyota doesn't list this for sale on their website for parts. Doesn't seem to be anything special if the pads are just slightly taller. Seems like a cosmetic improvement
Can these calipers and rotors be purchased from Toyota? I can't see any prices for these part numbers.
How much bigger are these compared to the regular supra calipers/rotors?
Part of the reason for the low sales numbers was the way it was priced. The turbo was a $60000 car back in 1999. Today a 2025 is about $65000 fully loaded.
If they were to make a MKVI, with the labor and tariff issues, should push the car to $90,000 and then it would have the same fate as the...
I'm not sure you can call the extremely low volume for the Supra a "success". Back in the days of MKIV, there were many great cars that competed against the Supra. Today not so much and the ones that are somewhat desirable are double the price of the Supra. So the markups that you are seeing...
if you can unwind the deal and return the car, I would do that. If you can't, then pursue the warranty with Toyota. It does seem odd a car would have a blown head gasket at only 10k miles. So hopefully Toyota covers the damage, they won't cover it if it was damaged due to Mods from previous...
this is obviously a bad car, possibly with mileage above what it's showing. Did you run a carfax to check the history. I would "unwind" this deal as soon as possible.
Also Toyota has a 5 year 60k miles warranty from the factory, you can see what Toyota says.
Just got my update done and it seemed to have a newer version that what I've read from this thread. I got S18T-24-11-520.
One thing I found annoying my radio presets use to be able to save page I wanted (I used preset 8 for my vehicle sport settings). But now I can't save anything on those...
This is the longest running thread about basically nothing. 50 miles on a car when you bought it. I think you should contact the dealership and unwind the deal all together, they might've lied to you about the actual mileage on the car
How about you just ask the guy for a picture of the odometer when he picked it up? He probably has it, just have to ask.
In all likelihood, the dealership probably had some people test drive the car before it was sold to you. 50 miles is nothing, I think you should just enjoy this car for...
If you have a 22 Supra and it's completely stock, you can buy the extended Toyotacare service from Toyota that will service your car until 4 years 40k miles (2 more services after the free 2 years). With this extended Toyotacare service, the 4th service at 40k miles, they will replace your air...
One of my friends use to buy cars based on monthly payments, you have to pay close attention to how long your loan is for. Don't get suckered into the "It's the same you're paying now, why not upgrade?" Each year added to your loan at $710/mo is $8500.
