  1. Nashville cnc

I find I'm that way with almost all tools... but yeah CNC and lathes are my go-to favorites. I admit it's at least 30% of the reason I plan on getting one myself (obviously making stuff is the rest, and just a 3A in my case). When I'm working, I often have YT in the background with one of the...
  2. Meanwhile in Z land..

I'd still argue any beer is better than none... but you do make a compelling counter argument. :hmm:
  3. Meanwhile in Z land..

Beauty is an entirely subjective critique... but two pitchers of beer is objectively superior to zero pitchers of beer.
  4. Meanwhile in Z land..

    It obviously worked...
  5. Meanwhile in Z land..

Possibly (at least in your opinion) but comparing short-term rentals to long-term investments is rarely straightforward. Most hotel rooms are better decorated than my bedroom... but I don't pay by the night. ;)
  6. How to Improve OE Sub Bass Quality and Eliminate Vibrations

Sounds like an attorney could make a killing on a class-action then... unless they're pulling a Microsoft and calling that a "feature".
  7. Anyone have a trunk full of Meth?

I'd recommend a nondescript van - even better if it has a handicapped license plate. You can move larger volumes and be far less memorable to witnesses. ;) On the actual topic... it's such a specialized application that I think you'd either have to go with one of the off-the-shelf options...
  8. Brand stickers on cars sorta..

Weird, and here I was surprised at how low-sodium most of the comments were considering context. Bring up Bose on an audiophile forum, Windows on a tech forum, or tell the Corvette guys you really love your new Mustang... then you'll really need to look for a safe space to assume the fetal...
  9. 45th Anniversary model, Mikan (orange) group thoughts

Especially due to being "certified used" - you've got the warranty to deal with anything you find. With that few miles on it, there's no more risk of leaks, oil consumption, etc. than there would be with a brand new delivery... not enough miles to tell anyway. Just check it well before you...
  10. Crash Supras on Public Roads

I'm pretty sure it was content based failure... too much spray-tan and hair product for the network to handle. ;)
  11. 2024 Supra possible diff leak

"BMW is urgently working on a solution to the problem." - So they should have one ready in... two weeks?!? ;)
  12. Formula 1 Talk

While I'm sure the "heritage" aspect played a part in the decision (and 9-figure contract), I like to think it was a more frivolous decision. I think he looked in his garage and said "I've got too many promo Mercedes already... I want some free Ferrari's in here as well." Sure he can afford...
  13. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

So with five-figures worth of aftermarket parts they're slightly faster than a Supra with a DP and an aggressive tune? Impressive. Admittedly a very rough estimate, but their fuel pumps alone are $2300 on sale!
  14. Stock ride height

Yeah, it sure looks like 5" to me... any variation less than .25" could basically be attributed to tire wear/pressure and surface variations anyway.
  15. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

Not all that generous considering it would have to be an event that only Z drivers showed up for... otherwise no payouts will be awarded. :p
  16. What did you do to your Supra today?

Since you're already in the correct location for that... I say go for it. ;)
  17. FS: Custom Steering Wheel - New

Also not helped in the photo because the airbag cover is slightly rotated off-center I believe. To me the stripe looks just fine if you're used to mentally "auto-correcting" barrel distortion from looking at photos all day long.
  18. Important question about oil

It really, really should get old... but somehow it just doesn't. :headbang:
  19. Other options for race tracks that are too loud?

Provided I'm not working on it that weekend I think that could be arranged. I basically bought it as a hobby to fulfill my need to do "actual work" on something (but not live in a perpetual construction zone). Writing software isn't nearly as fulfilling as woodworking, interior design, etc...
  20. Other options for race tracks that are too loud?

I have a house across the highway from Spring Mountain... need a telescope to get a good view from the back yard - but I can hear it just fine. Never occurred to me to be upset about the noise from a track that was right there when I purchased the house. Of course, my other house (in the city)...
