BMW just unveiled the 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept. A lot of the comments I'm reading people keep saying it looks like a BMW version of the FT-1. My opinion? Kinda sorta. What do you guys think?

Forgot about seeing one in Gran Turismo, you're right! For a 50-60k car like everyone here's been predicting, I think it will come with HUD. Not exactly bleeding edge tech. Even GM cars have it now. Having another display on the steering wheel might actually make it too complicted with too...

I'd like to see a head up display on the MKV Supra. Tried it out in my buddy's M5 and it's awesome. Would be perfect in the Supra to match its futuristic modern exterior.

Is there still an IS-F coming? Will it have a different construction than RC-F or just be a sedan version of it?

I wouldn't be surprised if the Z5 took styling cues from the Z4 Zagato concept.

The BMW guy said "before 2020" so it could be next year for all we know? Shouldn't be hard to improve on the current Z4 since it's way too heavy for a roadster which is supposed to be a fun type of car. My last favorite Z4 was the first generation Z4 M Coupe. Now there's a fun and rare car

7500+ RPM would be amazing. The 2JZ Supra was only 6800 redline with the limiter at 7200 RPM.

This video talking about the BMW i3 carbon fiber body shell has an engineer saying how because the carbon fiber weave is multidirectional, any impact from any direction will be absorbed better and provide more safety. Like you guys i want a full carbon fiber shell because of the weight...

You know what I'm surprised they didn't put on the FT-1 concept is some kind of round tail lights which are pretty iconic on the Supra MKIV. Maybe we'll see it return for the production model design"?

That MKIV concept sitting in the museum reminds me of the Mazda MX6 a bit. The front end at least.

Great time for auto sales in US. Up 6% for the year and 11% in Dec alone. I bet a lot has to do with low gas prices too. More $ left over for discretionary buying.

Hope so! If not we're in for a LONG wait if we're counting from the concept's debut in Jan 2014. Five years would put us at 2019! :confused1:

The other thread says there'll be a gasoline and hybrid version of the LF-LC production model so maybe it's actually possible we see both versions too for the FT-1 Supra. It can even use similar engines as the LC for each version and probably wouldn't cost Toyota much to offer both versions then.

Thank god they're not calling it the SC. Didn't realize there'd be both a gasoline and hybrid version. Will be interesting to see how the first production Toyota hybrid sports car performs.

Unfortunately 'forward looking' for a lot of companies these days is going with auto over dual clutch, even for their sporty cars. :(

Sucks that there's no surprises for any of the US shows but that still leaves open the possibility of Europe/Asia. :dunno:
