I'm looking forward to this!
There aren't any rear diffuser options that AREN'T carbon fiber other than the Max Orido one but it doesn't flow well like the rest of his kit sadly.
I mean, I like Maxton, but their products are either gloss black, textured or a fake looking carbon finish (and there are red options too). Nothing out there besides the Max Orido kit matches our satin OEM pieces like this.
About to do the same next week.
What magnetic bolt did you use - link? I can't seem to find the OEM bolt (Toyota or BMW) near me and it costs twice the amount of the bolt to ship.
What did you refill with?
Motul 300 75W90 has two versions, the regular 300 (105777) and the 300 LS (105778). Which one do we use?
Motul's website recommends the 300 LS for the Supra. However, the 300 LS is a GL5 while the regular 300 is GL4/GL5.
I'm thinking about SPL end links too to avoid the extra stress on the oem ones. Any issues with them? I read a few comments in the BMW forums that they can squeak or clunk occasionally because of the full metal build without the rubber boot.
I think it depends on your budget and whether you're looking for a track car or a street sports/GT car.
I bought my '20 supra as a daily back in August 2020 for just under $50k. The C8 was brand new then and I wasn't even thinking of cross shopping since they were marking them up to near $100k...
I've done that already with the dash cam and footwell lighting, but I wanted to avoid running wires through the door harness/boot with the door mounted lights.
If you can, sure. See if you can wedge something between the door and door panel while gently pulling the door off, it should grab the threads and eventually come out.
