It's hard to tell. Cars are normally a depreciating asset. Lately they have become a commodity. The artificially high used values from the shortages skew the historic values. For all cars. You best bet is to check the ALS for residuals. Even then I think the next year or so will be a crap shoot...
I have been away for a while. I was waiting for more news on the oil consumption issue. When did the 2022's show up and anything new for 2022? Any news on the oil issue?
Has BMW/Toyota issued any new information on the oil consumption issue? Have they identified anything as being the problem? Any idea of how widespread the issue is? Any idea if 2022s are having the same issues?
I was going to buy a 2021 until I saw this thread about oil consumption. I have been away from the forum for a while. I figured I would wait and see what turns up? Any news on the cause of excessive oil consumption? I am itching to buy one. Maybe a 2022.
I owned a GTR back on 2009. Honestly I don't remember if the vents were functional or not? I do remember the transmission. I did not like it at all. It was pretty unrefined. It made lots of mechanical noises. It was a good car but not my cup of tea. I sold the GTR for a 911 C4S with PDK. The...
Initially I did not like the front rectangular grill in pictures. The car at the Chicago Show had the finished grill from what I was told. It's black and low so you don't really notice the subtle details in pictures. The front grill looks a lot better in person. What looked odd to me was the...
Definitely have a couple of good PDR guys look at it also. That door skin might be repairable without body work if the paint is not broken. Only the door trim/garnish would need paint if PDR is possible. I'd even consider replacing the door trim/garnish with carbon fiber if that were the case.
Carfax buys it's data from a lot of different sources. They also scour public records. A friend paid out of pocket to repair his bumper at a shop that does not report to Carfax. They used a OEM bumper from the dealer. The repair mysteriously showed up on a Carfax 3-4 months later. The body shop...
Absolutely no way that damage justifies replacing the door. It's difficult to tell from the OP's pictures but there is a very good chance the metal door skin can be corrected without paint or body work. Good PDR guys can work wonders. A good PDR guy might be able to repair the metal. If that is...
You have 10 days to file a police or accident report in IL. I suggest you contact her insurance asap. Hopefully she has good insurance and you have a witness or statement from her admitting fault.
