Does anyone know if you can update a US Supra with European maps? Reason I am asking - I am military and just moved to Germany for three years and would like to update my maps to be able to use my nav here and more importantly, get my speed limit indicators on my dash. Thanks!!!
Unless the parts are made in Russia or Ukraine…. Cannot blame the war on that one…… we have had two years to adjust supply chain issues related to COVID. It is time to move past those excuses……. I do not accept any excuse that Jenn Psaki or Joe Biden rely upon to blame away poor planning. At...
Not only did I not pay a mark up, but I also got a $3500 rebate from Toyota when I bought my 3.0 Premium…… didn’t even have to wait on it. Called the dealer (about two hours away), they had the paperwork done and I was in and out of the dealer within 1 1/2 hours. Best car buying experience ever...
Moving to Germany early next year..... with my Supra..... still just a few running around? Considering whether or not to load European maps into the navigation or just run off car play while I am there.
So update on mine...... they sent it home telling me it needed a head unit still and had the same issue (took it in for the head unit resetting every 30 seconds or so). Pulled it out and noticed it had not started resetting yet, but still showed the "German" speed limit sign....... then, got out...
Mine is in for a head unit replacement - same thing - radio came in, they said it was the wrong part and missing a connector (they told me they thought is was for SiriusXM connection)…….. did they eventually get the right part for you?

This has been a great conversation, but any more suggestions on Snow Tires? I have been trying to source the Michelin Alpin 5’s, but for the life of me cannot find anyone online that has them in the 275/35/R19 size for the rears.
Preparing to move to Germany next year, and the Supra will become my daily as my Lifted GMC is not welcome in that country either (reason I am searching for winter tires now, the ones with the little mountain peak logo on them since that is the new upcoming law…. M+S are grandfathered for a bit...
Take care of your car and don't treat it like a whore....... if you build it, and drive the shit out of it, you are going to reduce the engine life. The best way to get your engine to last is treat it like the manufacturer intended...... anything more than that and you are taking your car's life...
Took mine in today. Head unit acting the fool. It'll just crash and restart repeatedly. They took it back to test/charge the battery and came back out about 20 minutes later to tell me they must order a new battery and that was likely causing my issue. More to follow when the battery comes in...
You can mount them inverted and wire backwards (positive to negative etc.) Seen it done in vehicles with boxes challenged for airspace. Creates some interesting conversation as well. Get a good seal on the inverted mount and they will sound good.
Drove mine around today at 1....... with a wind chill of -18. (that minus 18). No snow or ice - car drove fine. It had been sitting for a little over a week and had that cold tire thump thump for the first couple hundred feet - then smooth ride from there.
