Just got my car back from the dealer under my extended warranty. Oil pump is the main culprit. There's plenty of post on this issue now. Appararently the first year supra has a plastic part in the oil pump and the new part is has a slight redesign the prevent this.
Unfortunately I hit my mirror backing out of my garage. Luckily I didn’t take the mirror clean off. Everything works. Can someone help me identify which parts I may need
Thanks
i saw the trailer when it was first announced. I’m afraid it won’t be as good as initial d but it’s still cool seeing newer cars with new and returning characters
Pro's: It's comfortable daily for just normal driving.
Gains alot of attention
good MPG if you don't have a heavy foot
There's enough space in the trunk to pack your goodies.
It's been reliable for the last 2 years 30k miles of ownership.
Cons:
Poor visibility depending where you're coming...
Roughly $35 dollars for oil+filter that I buy myself and I take it to a oil change shop that I trust. It only cost $30 for them to change it for me if I bring my own stuff. I would change it myself, but I lowered my car and I can't get it on ramps.
Also using your left turn signal stalk, holding the BC button while in park will toggle the canflap. You will see on your dash it's toggling by it flashing your turn signals
Hold BC for 3-4 seconds
Left arrow blink open
Right arrow blink closed
Both arrows is stock
It's normal. Normal mode favors using high gears for mpg. You're going to definitely be cruising in 7th/8th gear a lot in normal speeds. It's not until you give it more throttle the car would think you want torque for speed and drop it to a lower gear.
I like thoseRs5rr wheels alot more better, specially for a street/performance aspect. You would see those kind of wheels on German vehicles, Audi, BMW cars. But i would probably just do a same size diameter setup 19inch or 20inch (not my taste.)
To be honest, anything above 20inch is going to look cheesy and I think you're going to hate the ride quality. Not to shoot down your taste, but those wheels look horrible.
It depends on what your goal is for your car. If this is going to be your performance/trackday/autocross absolutely not...
It always surprised me that Toyota created GazooRacing when TRD already existed. But yeah Before GR , it was TRD. It's now mostly branding for nascar and offroad vehicles. There's still a couple Camry TRD's that i see but it's nothing but a camry trim with no perforamnce and all cosmetic...
Using swiftsprings right now for the past 2 months. I've been to 1 autocross and 1 track day event stock unfortunately haven't been able to use the swiftsprings yet on the track. I do alot of spirited driving though from what I can tell it definitely feels more planted, less body roll, it feels...
I also sim race on Asetto corsa and Assetto corsa Competizione. Currently playing GT7. But Assetto Corsa with content manager really helped me practice for the track on Gingerman before I went out there.
If you're a fan of Initial D; The Manga MfGhost is a sequel to Initial D that takes place around in year 2030 where they drive our modern cars. The MKV Supra was shown a bit and the Anime comes out this year. Unfortunately the writing is not as great as Initial D as some of the races are...
I had this happen before after I changed tires. Traction control was kicking on the slightest turn to the point it almost caused an accident on the highway.
Go into your infotaintment system vehicle settings and configure the tires. If I remember correctly, I had to set the tires to "other"...
I do love doug's channel. He definitely points out the "quirky" things that most people don't notice about a vehicle design. Though I do expect him to miss the mark on specifics as far as trims. This is more of an overview (barely.) than a review.
The brand is PGW. It’s been a little over a week. But so far so good.
Appears that other bmw owners had similiar experiences with but oem glass with PGW glass
